MP3's

Featured Replies

Quick question with hopefully a quick answer!

Been ripping my CD collection into MP3 format using audiograbber ready for the new HU to be installed.

I have ripped the CD's into folders named with the Albums title, the question I'm unsure about is how do I compile them onto a CD-RW for playing on the MP3 HU?

In the Tech blurb for the HU, it mentions something about MP3 folder management! - So do I therefore need to drag and drop the folders or the individual tracks in the folders?

If I understand you correctly, just drag and drop the folders. Your HU should identify each folder and the contents, naming the tracks as it plays.

I have them as such:

Artist --> Album --> Tracks

Thus I can search on Atrist, then I see each album within.

Personally I can't recall album names, but I stand a vague chance with artists.

I have also grouped genre's to CD's so I know roughly what's on each CD.

Yeh, that's how I've ripped and stored them also.

So you drag and drop the 'artist' folder that contains the album sub-folders?

Burn the data onto the CD as a "DATA CD" not a music cd. Doing the latter will just convert the mp3's back to audio CD's.

Folder wise just put all the tracks for each album in one folder, and name the folder with something meaningful.

Which HU are you getting?
