Luckily it wasn't long before a Landy towed us to solid ground. Oh well, I tried! Not very well, but still...

Oh dear.

A similar thing happened to me not so long ago, parked in a desginated car park (field) for a rally, and when i got back to the car it looked a bit like where yours is. I managed to get right the way across the car park, just sliding a couple of times, and was within about 10 yards of the road when the car decided she'd had enough. Took four people, with tractor on standby, to get us out.

Those are good mud splashes, by the way!

K/.

Oops! Hope none of those splashes went inside the windows!!

Lol

Brands Hatch was it ????????? I wanted to go but was working :o

Better get that clean before Friday.........

You only had to call :D

If only you'd have had an octy 4x4 might have helped....

Nice to see that not all 4x4's on the roads are totally pointless! lol

Tyres/wheels are a big muddy me thinks!

Luckily we were close-ish to the exit so we didn't have far too go. I did have four people try push me out but I was too deep so the Land Rover was our only option. Was quite amusing seeing the amount of other cars spinning all over the place sinking deeper and deeper! Especially the big Beemers and VXR Monaros.

The mud splashes on the bonnet looked like dog turds!

They were shut!! Phew! The only mud that got into the car was on the drivers mat, so I think I did quite well there!

Yeah, it was Brands Hatch. Was quite a good day! The rain held off quite well too which was a bonus... It was Tor's first trip to Brands, I think she enjoyed it! :)

The annoying thing is, I have no time at all this week to give it a wash! My earliest free day is Saturday. Although I'm going to try get a hose under the arches one evening before the mud gets too hard. :o

You only had to call :D

Cheers Mike!

At least I can safely say my Octy has done more "off-roading" than 90% of the 4x4s on the roads round here!

I drove through a ford which had clearly flooded in the last couple of days, leaving mud EVERYWHERE, plus cows had been walking through it lots so there was **** & **** (use your imagination ;)) all over the road. I was very impressed in the way my diff kept putting power down to the left, then the right, then back again, and it took me through the cr4p nicely. Glad I didn't slow down below about 5mph though as I suspect I would have found both wheels spinning!

Had to pressure wash the car when I got home! :o

What about the car wash place by the sorting office in Tonbridge?????

It was about 8 years ago when I last went there so it may have gone...........

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I used a jet wash once,never again................

Car washes are evil.

I have never used one, and if anyone I know uses one I usually give them a telling off!

I've used a jet wash twice, once because it was my car's first major outing and she got grimy very quickly, and the second time because it was my car's second major outing... I'm going to try not to make a habit of it, though.

One of the ladies in the kiosk at the local Sainsburys had a fit when she saw our group of 4 Land Rovers fresh from an offroading day queueing to use the car wash.
