Some scenic Scotland piccies

Featured Replies

Some of you may recall the music that was played on the "Visit Scotland" adverts a few years ago? It's a piece called "North" by Paul Mounsey and written on the violin. I did a little work on it and worked it onto the guitar (acoustic for the backing and electric for the melody) then assembled some of my better photos I've taken in Scotland and popped them together into a little video!

I hope you enjoy!:)

my, that's awfy bonnie !

I must get out and about with my camera more.

That's lovely. :) I've only been to Edinburgh a few times, it's spurred me on to explore the highlands and find out why my Dad loved it so much, thanks

Excellent  And much better than some of the stuff the official VisitScotland peeps churn out.

Was it done with the Vista slide-show thingy?

Thanks for the comments folks. :)

Westerdam, it was put together in "Windows movie maker" in XP. It's been assembled as a video clip with stills rather than motion picture, as opposed to contructed as a dedicated slide show.

The highlands are my favourite place by miles. I think they're really something special.:) Definately worth exploring, as I'm sure plenty of people will agree with me.

Thanks for that. I've intended to do this sort of thing for ages. Usual story -something else crops up!

Nice photos!

Nice guitar solo

Nice Photos and music.

Had a browse through your other vids, Nice guitar work and you playing in the snow. LOL

Respect!

Lovely piccies, must visit Scotland soon...

I'll pass on the video tip to SWMBO (who has become a photoshop addict) - it will have her occupied for hours and hours and I'll be free to visit Briskoda without getting any comments  and make my own supper :thumbdwn:

Cheers. :) Yes, well I didn't video the snow ones and was asked if I could host them (presumeably so others could laugh:P:rofl:). Can't beat chucking yourself down a 40 degree snow slope!!

My guitar work is slowly getting there, it's only been 14 months since I started playing and I already have way too much guitar related clobber!

Some beautiful pictures there mate. We've just got back from Scotland after taking some friends from South Africa on a 3 day, 530 mile trip. Went upto St. Andrews then Edinburgh. Then through the Trossacs to a great guest house at Crianlarich. Then down to Inveraray and past Loch Lomond to Glasgow and home. We had a great time and I'll post some pictures soon.

OK, I'm biased, but Scottish scenery is my favourite in the world. Particularly Perthshire and the Highlands :thumbup:

Second favourite is Ireland, especially the West (Co Clare and The Burren) and the South West (Dingle) :):)

Very nice Rob. Must visit Scotland again soon.

Nice work Rob

Very nice photos... Scotland is a dream for me...I hope I will go there one day

And very nice music...I love it

Great photos. I love the Scottish Highlands, some really amazing sights to be had. I last went in July last year and stayed at a house on the edge of Loch Mhor, about 4 miles away from Loch ness. I still miss the view we had from the sitting room.
