FMIC, where and how?

Featured Replies

Right going for the Hybrid turbo jobbie in the future so next step is a FMIC, seen many different ones, Jabbasport / Allard / Forge.

Anybody know the cheapest i can get one for? and is it also a DIY job? I know nothing about mechanics but surely cant be THAT hard? Im an electrician by trade so pretty handy with manual work

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated, also how long would it take to fit, im thinking doing it at a week off from work??

Cheers guys

Jason

It isn't too bad a job to fit the Forge one. Try calling them direct for the best price or Awesome.

Too bad?? sorry for the questions but can a novice do it and how long will it take, are they a direct fit or a bit of fabrication needed??

Direct fit - the hardest bit on the Forge one is the bumper removal - that's easiest when you have someone to help you take it off properly.

Instructions are clear and it works well.

I dont know about the other two, but I'd imagine they'd come with full instructions too :)

Cheers guys, im not in a rush so have made a wanted thread in the hope someone is reverting back to standard.

Im happy with the car at the minute (remapped) but im really wary about the KKK turbo issues and my mileage is now 47k and i do 20k + a year so im scared it goes pop.

Got the pennys for a FMIC atm and will get a nice yearly bonus in june which should about cover a T2 then just a remap :)

A nice safe 200bhp will do me and hopefully be super reliable

it's not to hard at all.

biggest troubles i had was putting the alloy undertray back on and feeding the neck of the 5l washer bottle into place(recommend doing this while the bumper is off)
