ocky electrical

Featured Replies

hello i have a 1.9 Tdi black estate. a couple of hours ago i was driving to my local rugby club and i heard a bang followed by the sight of something yellow which turned out to be a yollow yazoo drinks bottle.god knows how i did,nt see but thats life

the battery warning light came on straight away and i drove home a short distance to find a pulley cradled in the belt about 50mm deep and size wise fits snugly in the palm of your hand.there is a bearing on the inside.

im having trouble finding where it dropped off from and im concerned its a block part as opposed to an electrical component, which makes me think it won,t be cheap to repair

any ideas or advice? thanks in advance

There's an article in Practical Motorist about a similar problem with a Fabia.

Just read it this morning, I think it says the pulley bolt broke and was repaired under

warranty.

Sounds like an aircon pump pulley or tensioner/idler pulley
