is it me or is the fuel seeming to be worse?

I know I'm getting LESS MPG with Vpower than normal diesel.

Only doing it to get the Ferrari model cars you get by buying v-power.

You know you can pay £1.99 and get them with out having to buy any fuel?

Whats the price difference between normal Derv and V power ?

May be cheaper just buying the car at £1.99 than the cost of the extra fuel over a whole tank. :D

about 8-10p per litre.

So 20L later.....

I did that to collect all six of them, Only to find out you can buy them for £1.99 each and it works out cheaper..

my car needs 97 ron min and runs well on 99 so i fill up with 31 litres every 5-7 days depending on my fuel economy on the way to work. so a free car is just a bonus, i reckon if you keep the full set for 6 months or so then ebay them they might then be worth sometihng. currently to many people selling the full set on there with them still readily available in the shell garages. Yes they are tat, but there are people oput there who will colloct and buy them ;)

Firm bought the fuel, I merely collected the cars on their behalf ;)

Thief ! :D

That's not fair..:P

I have a theory.

Isn't increased consumption at the moment just a function of the ever more highly changeable equinox weather at this time of year and a slightly confused EMU adaptive software trying to keep up ?

At 0700 its a cold spring day, by lunchtime its a heat wave and by mid afternoon you got convention enhanced near tropical rainfall - I'd be confused if I were the EMU !

Add to that the fact that with the onset of better weather driving style becomes more "Press-on" - so the range of values that the EMU software is trying to draw a "Best-fit" average line through is widening !

Hence lumpy running.

This use to be the case years ago with Mobil, then when my last company decided to get a fuel account with Tesco's we started to collect tesco's club points of which the company was fully aware, nice £50-£100 a quarter depending if i did the shopping there too

Thief ! :D

No he is providing discounted long term storage to the company ;)

IIRC this sort of thing and almost certainly club card points are BIK and as such taxable so should be declared to the tax man.

Along with taxing private health care so you can take strain off the NHS for which you are paying anyway, what is actually left untaxed?

Have to admit, i always fueled up at Tesco when i had my company fuel card.

£80 a day on fuel brought me some great points. :D

A scrapper near me drains the fuel tanks, so I guess you can tell where they fill up

Luckily I collected 2 full sets before the memo came out today.

No premium fuel again. Otherwise we pay the dif between normal fuel - no exceptions. And big boss hopes we all managed to get out Shell Ferrari's at the company expense :o

Followed by graphs of fuel costs and blah blah

in the past year companies have really started to crack down on fuel costs, mainly because of how high its become. lets face it the fuel now costs about 30p more a litre more than a year ago ish. thats £18 a tank more on a 60 litre tank, if a company has a fleet of 50 cars then that £900 each time all 50 cars fill up. being more complicated 2 fill ups a week then £90k a year extra in fuel costs could have paid for a few extra staff or even start replacing the current fleet.
