Festival of Speed - 11/12/13th July

Featured Replies

Is anyone from here going on the Friday. Maybe meet up on the A27 for an early coffee at the "little Thief"

always leave at least 7 years between visits to stand a chance of seeing something different from the last time you went...

:)

I'll probably pop along as it's on my doorstep :)

When is it this year?

Edit: Curiosity got the better of me, 11th,12th & 13th of July

You know you want to Steve! I'll be there on Friday 11th, so may see you up there mate.

I might even put some stripes on my car to attract some attention and make it faster of course!

I am contemplating going on the Friday.

I went last year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Have you seen the price to get in

Yes, hence the contemplation.

It's only £30 for the Friday ticket! Don't be so bloody tight you lot!! :P

The Times Online have issued freebie tickets the past couple of years, hopefully they'll do it again this?

£30 assuming that I can't get the freebie Times online ones this year!!! :D

i normaly go so i should be there on the friday.

just got to get some tickets

£30

As I said earlier in the thread, its only worth going about once every 7 years or so. I went two years running once, luckily both times free, but I still felt short-changed as nothing had changed since the previous event!

I have been for the last 2 years and paid once. I thought it was great both times. You are right not a lot changes, but still great to see all those cars and the noise that an F1 car makes has to be heard "Live" at least once a year i reckon! :D

Call me sad, but every year I've been, I've seen and touched the R8s and R10s, but never heard them run. Shame they can't open the circuit up too and have the classes racing against each other, much like the revival, but with the current cars....

Well after last Sundays Breakfast Club I have booked tickets for myself and my mate for the Friday.

We went last year but I still imagine there will be plenty to see.

Even £47 is reasonable considering what you get. Im off on the Saturday...

Best cars from most world racing championships, rallying, DTM, F1, touring cars, Dakar, red arrows etc and also watch from about 30 feet!

Tight fisted bunch you skoda drivers...

Great food, great weather (well, not last year...) and beer. Awesome day out.

ill be there on Friday and Saturday this year.

id say its one of the best shows for the variety of cars there and to see them actually been used in some anger. remember the 1st year i went seeing a Bentley doing donuts up at the top enclosure :headbang:

We are now booked for Saturday

Oops - that didn't copy as I expected, but it is the link to the Times Online free offer.

Incidentally carefully read down to the opt out / in tick boxes at the bottom, or you will get spammed.

Enjoy :)

BUMP

We are going Saturday... Actually very excited to hear some top fuel dragsters...!

Didn't get my freebie ticket this year so going to give it a miss as I think that the ticket entry price is now far too high :thumbdwn: Weather doesn't look too favourable either :o
