My new wallpaper

Featured Replies

Took this on the way home from Blackpool on Sunday on top of the Woodhead moors. Cropped to fit my widescreen monitor and is now my current wallpaper.

What do ya think?

Ok this is the original....... As you can see i darkened the clouds and then rest of the image a little less. Then added some noise to give a nice grainy effect and cropped to 1440x900 for use as a wallpaper.

The camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 12mp compact.

Cheers for the comments.

I was tempted and might do that in another version...... That was my theme in the calendar competition last year black & white images with the vRS badge in colour. :D

Was sat in the car for 15 mins waiting for a break in the rain!!!! Ended up running out and taking 7 or 8 shots while it was still spitting with rain then running back in the car. This was the 3rd lay-by i had tried and couldn't get a good shot in the others due to signs & objects in the background etc..

The mrs was well impressed........ Not!!!! :D

I'd like to get a D-SLR at some point. I have my Canon EOS1000fn in the spare room that i haven't used in about 5 or 6 years. May sell that and put the money towards a replacement D-SLR..... I can see a xmas present coming on. :D:D:D

That looks really good - I like that.

Top work.

Very, very nice.

Nice work

Very nice. I do like black and white shots, they definately give an added drama.

I currently have this on my desktop:

Nice photo matey...... I hope there's a little angle on the shot and that you didn't have to get the car towed out of that position. :D

lol. Fortunately, no towing required, did have to be careful not to scrape the front end when driving off the bank back onto the road though!
