Hi to all the faby lovers!!!!

Featured Replies

I would like to express my opinion of my car.

A Fabia 1.4 16V 101bhp...

There is about 7 months since i bought it and i really love it!!!!!!

2 months ago i did some little things (air filters, exhausts) and the response now is better. Now the only thing that i have in mind is NOS.... :D

No i'm not making fun

I will put it on when i will complete 15000khm in the car.

Now my engine is still tight..

If anybody would like to send his story of his/her fab, go on......

Welcome to Briskoda

May you spend many happy hours here !

Welcome.

Welcome to Briskoda.

Welcome to the site, BlackFabia :)

Out of interest, what air filter did you fit, and what kind of exhaust?

Exhaust is possibly next on my list to do; will post some new pictures once I get a chance to clean the car (or get someone to do it for me!)

Hi,

I'm 2 months into my 1st Skoda ownership (Elegance 1.4 16v). Have your current mods made any improvement to low/midrange torque or is it all top end ? I am happy with the Furby but think i should have got a TDi..

This is the smallest car & engine i've ever bought - then again i got it as a runaround - so notice the lack of 'go' for overtaking etc. Any advice welcome bar "get a vRS" or "TSR turbo kit", that will have to wait till next year or so.

Have a look here and you will see my filter....

The torque increased and i can feel it because the car now has better response.

Not bad at all....

In combination with the exhaust (final muffler) is much better. I have also a good sound coming out of my car. Here is the link of my exhaust company

BOSAL

My friend Mivec as i mentioned before the torque of the car is much better and i am really satisfied with this first mod. Your car is the 16V engine or the 8V? Here in greece we dont have the TDi models so i dont know that kind of engines. The only thing i know is that i can mod my car to 130bhp as the VRS FABIA model quit easy. The torque of course wont be the same as the Diesel model, it will be lower.

Thats the advantage of the TDi and why at the time I went for it. Whilst it may have the same 100HP as the 1.4 16v, the TDi has 192 lb/ft of torque compaired to 96 on the 1.4 16v. That just makes it a bit more urgent and happier overtaking and cruising on the outside lane. Whether it is any faster overall, I don't know but it has more pull.

Plus you can still get 50mpg "keeping up with the traffic" ;) Other advantage is that for 365 quid from Jabba, you can get it up to 145bhp!

Yes i think you are quite right.... ;)

those engines can give you more because they are larger and turbocharged.

We dont have TDi engines here. it's not permitted.

You guys could help me in some things....

For example i'm thinking to put the dashboard of the VRS model.

If anybody knows about the installation and where i can find that dashboard please let me know. I find it better than mine. Do you think that someone can send me the dashboard from your country & send it to Greece?

Which model number did you get? And do you still get the induction "roar" with it? :)

Thats right I forgot about that. Iread something about Athens and the Olympics, and found that out! Does Greece only allow them in the trucks and buses and not in cars? Seems a strange decision.

Wish I'd found this forum before i bought :dunce: ,just the sort of advice that would have steered me to a TDi.

Dont get disapointed my friend. Those engines are not bad at all either. With some mods you can make your 1.4 engine to get hot... believe me because in my country it's all we do. Tuning this engines.

flyingscot only taxi and trucks are allowed to use this engines.
