Cup holder & Sunglasses holder

Featured Replies

Hi all ,

Was at the scrap yard the other day with a mate getting a few things for his bora ,and spotted a seat arosa , had a look in side and noticed it had a single din twin cup holder , thought i will be having that . Cost £5 . Got a mate who works @ VW to price £27 + VAT. So i got a bit off a bargin .

This is how the fitting started .

Had to move the head unit down to the bottom off the double din cause if you put the cup holder in the bottom you can't get the car in to 1,3,5 gears

Then i had a problem , with the standard head unit the cup holder would probably fit but with a after market one it wouldn't .(think the standard 1 is slightly thinner ) . So i had to cut out a part off the holder

Then it fitted no probs .

Not that bag for £5 and about a hours work .

Bargain there m8 cost me 28 quid for mine, makes the interior much more practical, use mine all the time. Its one of the main things which bug me about new car design where all the cup holders seem to be around the gear stick area and you have to take your eyes off the road to put the drink down lol

What a BARGAIN!!!

For the cupholder.

I bought my sunglasses holder from China/Hong Kong via ebay before the prices went up...

Proper bargain and looks like it should be there. If you don't mind me asking what headunit have you got in, that kenwood looks very good.
