Those vRS owners with oil consumption issues...

Featured Replies

What are you going to replace your car with?

Personally I love my Fabia but if it isn't fixed anytime soon then I will be looking away from Skoda and possibly VAG, sooner rather than later...

So, what are the options?

New Clio RS

New fiesta ST/RS

*Extreme* BMW M135

EM

Focus ST?

All very good vehicles, but are they "replacements" when they all cost at least £10k more?

No consumption issues but fancy an UP GT in black - probably handle the drop in performance as I just pootle about 90% of the time. See what the future brings...

OK,fair enough...then it would be no contest for me...an unabused S3 every time.

Toyota GT86 (or Subaru BRZ)

A1 quattro with 2.5tfsi engine transplant with Apr stage 3 kit.

Effectively a 4wd hatchbacks k with upwards of 700bhp. Nice :)

Have you looked at one? Ok if you just want 2 seats, the rear things are a joke.

3 year old 335i? RWD 300 bhp and not too badly priced nowadays...... Gotta be a tempting option!

Think im going to be looking at a passat r36, supra or something else jap with bags of power :D insurance dependant of course but i should be fine when the time comes to change :)

I'm keeping mine as a track car. I'm buying a 2.2TDCI S-MAX as my main car

probably keep mines and put it to stage 3. enough room for me and itll be plenty fast.

plus i have an old 1962 vw beach buggy as a toy XD

I'm always looking at what will replace my VRS in 2 years 4 months but I am always changing my mine and I think It's best to see what's around then and make my choice.

sorry its buggered matey... I go rapid vRS, or maybe the new clio RS as its tubo'd and twin cluch box....

dont know why some burn oil and some don't.... never even check mine now!

the new clio does look good. makes u wonder what the other companies will bring out as renault usually lead the way woth the newest hot hatches...

Well I've been to view a GT-86 tonight and erm OMG!! I fell in love instantly...

I drove past one a few weeks ago....had to double check as i didnt even think they were on sale yet

It was absloutly stunning :D just a shame they havnt got a turbo.......yet

doesnt need one by all accounts but will reserve judgement until after a test drive ;)

Hmmm im not sure 2.0l non turbo with 198bhp? Unless it has some fancy v-tec type kick i just feel it will be lacking in the power department.....hope im wrong though

Iwill test drive the new renault....

I never wanted one, due to having to rag the nuts off the engine to et performance (type-R style) and I wont go back from a twin clutch paddle-shift now after the vRS...

should be better than the vRS and as cheap...

BUT... every time it raind here there is only one car broken down at the side of the road... renault.....

and a new twin clutch gearbox made by them? how long will it last? its not proven as far as I know... brand new.....

but I could be tempted....

as for the toyota... not fast, but apparantly a great drive! lives up to the hype.....

Okay, assuming your budget's £20-25k judging by the cars that you've listed, and that you want turbo, twin clutch and some kind of practicality, how about an Evo X SST? Your budget would easily get a nearly new example. 300bhp? 330bhp? 360bhp? Take your pick.
