I'll throw in my 10p's worth sooner rather than later:

Last time I was at Dale Bottom Farm it was noisy, expensive and cramped. Facilities were a bit better than Buttermere but by no means palatial. Other commercial sites would likely be similar.

I wouldn't want to be confined to a small space; restricted as to what we could do; or charged a fortune.

It's a balancing act and if there's a choice I'm open to suggestions for a different site, but I think Buttermere suited us well and is the target to beat.

Went to this last year and I really enjoyed it. It's a busy month as I'm moving further north the weekend after but I'll try my best to come along. If I do I'll be staying overnight.

There's always the British Hillclimb Championship event at Barbon Manor (near Kirkby Lonsdale) to visit if you get bored on Saturday 11th. Not that you're exactly particularly close, but it is Cumbria!

Is that on that weekend as well, it's only 5 mins away from me.

Maybe a visit to the Lakeland Motor Museum near Newby Bridge.

Hire and boat and race around Windermere.

Keswick is always nice to visit.
