DTM Race Day Hospitality 19th May2013

Featured Replies

I've just sorted out tickets for myself and James for our annual pilgrimage to the DTM and as usual Steff at atpoleposition has done me a great deal. He has given me the opportunity to offer tickets to members of the forums I'm active in (SKCC, Kentscoobies and here) The cost does depend on numbers, last year I managed to get tickets for £80 a head, normal cost £120 (direct from Brands Hatch the equivent package is £179.) It is the same price regardless of age

I should get a similar price level of interest dependant.

You get the following

Entrance to the circuit and suite, VIP parking

buffet menu with breakfast, lunch and afternoon cakes and cheese board

Complimentary Alcohol bar

Official race day programme per 2 guests

Music and live feed commentary and track side live feed TV

Morning papers

Waiting staff

I'm not going to do the hard sell etc etc as I think it sells itself at this price. I only do this as Steff and Ann are one of lifes great couples and always go the extra mile to look after James and I over the past few years, and its great to share the suite with like minded individuals with a common interest. Those of you that came last year I'm sure will speak highly of the day.

Website link here. http://www.atpoleposition.co.uk/

I'll let this run a while so post up if you are interested and I'll see what we can do across the three forums.

Cheers Mike.

How many tickets are there Beef? (may contain traces of Nag) :hi:

Beryl, how many do you require? There is fair few at the moment. currently four definites going, I'll post a list shortly.

I don't know, it depends on how much money I have left over after the planned work on Beryl. Maybe none!

Apologies for the delay in payment details, I had problems last year keeping tabs on who had paid so this time around please pay by electronic transfer to my personal account and I'll then forward to Steff at pole position. I'll pm you all my account details, Please ensure you make it clear who is making the payment. As and when I recieve them I'll make a note on the list.

Email from Steff, there are 7 tickets left, so don't hang back if you are contemplating coming along. If the tickets are not spoken for and paid for by 26th April I need return the ticket allocation to Steff to sell on by his usual means. Those that have committed to the day I'll pm payment details, anyone else interested post up and I'll do the same. Don't seriously hang about if you are thinking about this.

Thanks, Mike.

Mike, I can probably rustle a few more people up if you are happy they are non-briskoda folks.

Cheers Mike shall discuss and let you know.

I've got a mate who might be in too.

Although given the impending wedding may mean we forego the hospitality and maybe make the trip under general admission tickets :S

I'll get them as your wedding present if you like?

Can't think of anything else! :giggle:

No problem at all Richard, just s keep me posted re: ticket uptake, so I can check with Steff and can make sure they are available. I've posted on southern kitcars and Kent Scoobies so bit of a mix,of genre, though all petrol heads together at the end of the day. I know I rant on about it but it seriously is Brands Hatch's best kept secret, best to enjoy it now because its getting more popular, I for one don't do crowds so hospitality is the way to go. B)

Just a quick update, I'm making a payment to Steff this weekend for all tickets purchased thus far. I'm forwarding him your postal details so the tickets will be sent direct to you. The DTM organisers are notoriously slow at getting the tickets out for the event compared with the in house events organiser motorsports vision. That said Steff is very good at getting the tickets out as soon as he receives them so don't panic you should get them a week or two before the event.

Steve can you pm me your postal address, forgot to ask you for it previously

Any more takers?? not many tickets left.

All the above fully paid to Steff at the hospitality suite today, addresses also provided so expect your tickets through the post closer to the date, They will need to be signed for on delivery. Looking forward to this with some great company, Dont forget ear defenders/plugs, you will definitely need them. If you have a little fm radio with an ear piece bring that along too. Brands Hatch now has FM radio you can tune in to for the commentary. "Throw away" earsets are available if required at the circuit. Make allowances for the british weather also, some umbrellas are available in the suite but check out the weather forecast for the day and dress accordingly.

Hope you all have a great day and enjoy the DTM experience, the great hospitality and the great company. If you have any queries or questions that I can help you with then just post up.

Just a quick update, Steff is posting the tickets out tomorrow so you should get them friday/saturday, except for Steve who would have got them tonight ;)

Yes i did get mine personally delivered by the Suite owner at around 7 pm last night

Contents of envelope are tickets, a car entry badge to hang from rear view mirror, menu, and some helpful directions to Brands & the suite .

Was advised that they will provide ear plugs, but if you have personalised ones, they will probably be more hygenic. Also the 'free bar' which as a driver i wont be partaking of the alcohol portion

One very important piece of information i cannot find on the tickets even, is what time the Suite will open for breakfast. ( will need :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: )

Any Ideas Mike ?

The suite is open from about 0800, I don't tend to get there much before the first warm up session with is about 0930. The schedule for the day hasn;t been released yet, as soon as it is I'll post up the details of the race programme, which will confrm start times, pit walkabouts etc. Come off the M20 at the bottom of Wrotham Hill and pick up the A20 London bound, Then to find the car park follow the same symbol on the swing tab and road signs, it'll take you round to the paddock entrance into the grey or yellow car park. You have a very short walk to the Suite from there

Edited to add..... don't usually get too excited about things but absolutely love this event,..can't wait for this... its going to be the nuts..hurry up 18th/19th May
