You also need to check that you have a BCM that supports cruise

You need to check what BCM you have

 

It is not too bad

 

several wires to the BCM and one wire to the ECU

use Vag com to scan the module

 

If you don't have get a torch and hav a look at the module for the part number. it is above the pedals facing the engine bay
