  1. Hi all, Due to changing my car i can no longer use these tyres. Bought in late 2016 from Gordon at Nordic Tyres for £440 I have stored them in doors since i took them off in March wrapped in tyre bags and rotated and moved them every couple of months. tread depth is good all round, my gauge measured 7mm on the 2 fronts and 7.5-8mm on the rears. Looking for £250 for the 4, or £270 and ill include the tyre bags. Collection or, i can drop off to you are not far from me, I am based in Shrewsbury. I often travel for work (including London trips) so can also drop to to you if happen to be near my commutes. Regards, Anthony D.
  2. I think this is only for the diesel engined cars, the petrols give you barely anything when the fuel range is at zero from what I've read elsewhere. Most I've gone whilst at zero range was about 5 miles of gentle motorway driving, and that will then fill up to the click just over 50 litres.
  3. Next time it happens, just look at the gear indicator number on your central display on your dashboard. If the cars been knocked into sport mode by pushing the gear selector backwards from the D position, then the gear numbers will have an S in front of it instead of a D or an E. S1, S2, S3 etc.
  4. I think I remember mine getting slightly better over its first 5k miles, or it could just be me learning how to drive it more economically. I've just nudged over 60k now and I often get 45+ mpg tank to tank, lovely engine.
  5. Please go with petrol, at 8k a year it's a no brainer, I've done over 53k on mine and never regretted choosing the petrol, it's really smooth and quiet and pulls really well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Get the petrol! I've done 51k miles in mine and my average mpg is 41.24! I consistently get between 400 and 500 miles a tank. I do a lot of motorway miles mind you which helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Have you tried Beadles in Aylesford.
  8. I got my petrol vrs set to variable as I ate through my first 3 services in just over a year, my original dealer I bought the car from said it wasn't possible, changed dealer and said it wasn't an issue so it's now 20k variable, they said if I do a lot of short journeys the computer will shorten the time/mileage to service which was nice to know. 9. I get this all the time in the colder weather, I'll have to keep an eye on the coolant levels, failed turbo doesn't sound pleasant ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I got 24k in my fronts and almost 40k on rears. Although my driving is 70% motorway. Are your tyres wearing evenly or are they wearing more on a particular edge? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That's a great idea! I'll have to try that thanks ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I love mine, with the DSG and in Eco mode it makes for a very quiet and smooth ride around town if I'm feeling mellow. Or it can be the complete opposite and I forget how fast it can be sometimes. Mpg after 41k miles is 41.1. Best mpg recorded from fill to fill was 52! Think worse was 18. Things I don't like: Creaking seats! The hard plastic on the seat frame rubbing on the fake leather drives me mad. Hidden wheels inside the arches and ride height are just wrong on the car. I guess the last points can be fixed though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thank you for the link. It worked on my 14 octavia, however the file formats are in .PNG which my columbus unit does not display, i had to export the ones i wanted into .jpeg which works fine -edit- My bad, it works with png, it was my mac creating .ds files which it what i was seeing on the columbus, oops!
  14. Ive had this on mine for ages. Asked 2 dealers to look at it they have no clue. Don't think it's anything major just kind of annoying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Now that is a classy looking car! nice honest review, i like the fact you didn't get the rear wiper
