  1. Looking good! I wish I had chosen those alloys. I prefer the look of my Pegasus but they are a pain to clean and the edges of the 'blades' seem to be getting damaged by stones/grit.
  2. At 70-75mph I get ~50mpg at 60 it jumps up to over 60mpg
  3. It's my first car with full leather, I love them! They do crease pretty quickly though.
  4. Take the engine cover off and ask somebody to keep it at ~2000 rpm, you'll soon hear where the vibration is!
  5. I am definitely not being too critical. My previous cars have been diesels. I have not had anywhere near as many creaks, rattles and buzzing noises in any of them. I'm getting a bit disheartened with it now as I want to enjoy the car. The engine is also hesitant (not like a turbo lag feel) it lulls then seems to want to fly. Wish I'd kept my mk2 Octavia now, ok not as comfy or plush but I didn't have a single gripe with it.
  6. My 150 2.0tdi is £580!!! That's for 25k business miles with 7 years ncb (I'm 31)
  7. Yup I had a lady go from the first lane on a round about to decide to turn right (whilst still indicating left) straight in front of me must have been inches away. I have good reactions fortunately. The adrenaline passed to my head pretty quick!
  8. I'm in Elland, by the time I'm up the bypass the coolant is somewhere near up to temp. When we had the cold weather I was averaging 43-45mpg over a tank. The last tank was 54mpg (I carry quite a bit of weight and step ladders on the roof). Seems more sensitive to temperature than any of my previous cars. Also the gearbox is so much smoother in warm weather.
  9. I saw two yesterday driving up the A1 from Peterborough, can't remember colour or spec. I've also seen one or two on Elland bypass when going into Halifax. After four months of ownership it's only the last few weeks I've started to see them about.
  10. I have seen two today on the m62, a petol blue first thing. Business Grey hatch heading east bound 3pmish. Looked like SE spec as it didn't have leds or xenons.
  11. I never stalled all my previous cars put together as much as have stalled my s3 150 diesel in the space of three months. My dad found the same when he drove it. Glad I'm not alone.
  12. Skoda Assist attended tonight, agreed the rattle isn't great but not much else said in that matter. Plugged in and found out the acc radar is throwing out faults. Wiper jets due a recall. Headlights should not be as misted as they are and have been reported. CV boots are the cause of squeaking when cornering. Can not speak highly enough of the technician, very pleasant and helpful. Just need to get the niggles sorted. If only the dealer was any where near as helpful!
  13. Cheers, mines booked in for a week on Monday. I mentioned on here that I had a vibration sounding from the dash when accelerating, not sure if this is linked or not. Is it possible that a lack of oil is reaching the top end of the engine? It sounds like a mechanical tapping rather than a rattle.
  14. I've checked the hoses/pipes no contact or buzz from them, sounds internal... Video is a few posts down, sorry.
  15. I tend to press the phone button then the bottom left touch screen button, seems faster than scrolling through the menus.
  16. It's really buggy, if you press the home screen button then press audible again it will show the library, I have to do this for each page. I'm sure it'll get sorted at some point.
  17. I'm only slim and my seat is already fairly creased. The leather is very soft. I had my daughters bike seat on the back seat (only very light) it left a permanent dent.
  18. I had this happen a couple of times in my octy, sorted itself out. Blowers also went on full which suggested software
  19. My only complaint with the Columbus navigation is the traffic avoidance, it's next to useless. My Tomtom was far superior in this respect. The Columbus is far quicker though...
