  1. I used Horton Skoda (skodashop.co.uk) for a new wheel some time ago, they were very efficient and much cheaper than my local Skoda dealer. Shipping charges will be greater from abroad too with lengthier delivery times.
  2. If you buy the extended warranty at time of purchase of the car you get a better warranty than extending it at the end of three years. Don't know why that should be so but it is.
  3. No you can't get a space saver in the iV.
  4. I have had mine 5 years, 62000 miles and the only problems have been chrome window trim and corroding wheel centre caps. Battery was replaced at 4 years 11 months under warranty (car had 5 year warranty). It has been amazingly fault free. Just ordered a new one, there are some very good deals to be had at the moment.
  5. In the Skoda manual it says:- Phonebox functions ▶ Wireless charging of phones. ▶ Amplification of the telephone signal (only valid for some countries). Does anyone know if the UK is included as a valid country for the amplification of the mobile signal?
  6. I paid £309 inc. VAT recently at a Skoda dealer.
  7. I have had exactly the same problem on mine except that it always happens in really hot weather. You can alter how far the tailgate goes up (see handbook) so I set mine to stop about an inch lower than the maximum. That solved the problem.
  8. Many apologies, it is there. I think I might have inadvertently selected an SE config instead of an SEL config so that the 2.0TSI option did not show up. Thanks for pointing out my error.
  9. Have another look, the 2.0 TDI is there but not the 2.0TSI. Incidentally I spoke to Skoda who agreed it wasn't there but thought it might have been taken off to change the specs and to check again after the weekend.
  10. I am thinking of buying one of these and I notice it has again disappeared from the Skoda configurator, it was there yesterday. It is however still listed on the latest downloadable brochure. All very strange.
  11. There is no problem getting a towbar fitted but you do need to make sure you get the electrics integrated into the car and coded. When I had this done in 2017 by PF Jones using a mobile fitter the total cost for everything was £518.
  12. I had mine done at Camberley Service Centre, they are a registered Skoda service centre, all genuine parts and seem to have made a very good job.
  13. My car has a 5 year warranty and the battery has just been replaced under warranty at 4 years 11 months. So it is not deemed to be a wear and tear item if the battery fails under warranty.
  14. Too late it is at the garage now!
  15. My local Skoda Service Centre started at £600 for cambelt and water pump or £500 for just cambelt then offered to reduce by £50 if I arranged it by end of January. I pushed them on this a bit and they then agreed to £450 for cambelt and water pump. Seems a good price to me but not sure how you check to make sure they have actually done both when I get it back!
  16. I have a 2016 2.0L Diesel Estate and although I have only done 60k miles it has been absolutely faultless so far.
  17. Are you sure they haven't left the bump stops in. My garage assured me they weren't there until I insisted they checked again and then found them. They are only in the front suspension and you can't see them until you jack up the front wheels completely.
  18. My boot always opens ok but sometimes when it fully opens it makes a double beep and then when I press the button to close it it beeps again and won't lower. I then have to force the boot down manually to close it. If I open it again it works fine, until say, a week later the same thing happens. Has anyone else come across this?
