  1. £500 to £600 discount on the internet at the moment.
  2. Finish looks good, (another white one) and it's good to drive, I wouldn't fancy travelling far in the back though but it is what it is. It would have to be the five door elegance 75ps for me but rear sensors should have been standard on a city car - you can only have them with cruise control for some reason. So for me to have that option with sunset glass and five year warranty its about 11k which looks a bit steep.
  3. I thought some engines were being fitted with new piston rings under warranty to address the issue of excessive oil usage?
  4. So what's wrong with the 1.9 TDI?
  5. Are you sure it wasn't an old Daihatsu Sirion?
  6. It's a Daihatsu Sirion lookalike. Or maybe a Perodua Myvi lookalike.
  7. It's cheaper for me to use BP rather than Morrisons fuel. Using Morrisons diesel at 139.9 per litre I get 51mpg. Using BP at 146.9 I get 58 mpg. 10000 miles from Morrisons costs me £1247.06. 10000 miles from BP costs me £1151.42 and is probably better for my engine and also doesn't help to line the pockets of Mr Morrison.
  8. Maybe there should be 3 categories, Real problems, Problems and No Problems. but the No Problems list may not be very long I suspect. lol
  9. The Skoda would need to be £1000 cheaper than the VW for me to choose the Citigo over the Up.
  10. I have a 3 spec Roomster so the glass roof came as standard but I wouldn't pay extra for it. I specced roof bars but have not been confident to carry anything weighty due to the glass roof, maybe just over cautious. The arm rest is good for the extra storage and on motorway runs. I would buy a scout 1.2 tsi with cruise control and rear parking sensors if I was replacing mine.
  11. I paid £245 for 20,000 service including brake fluid change on my Roomster 1.9tdi.

    DPF Removal

I don't imagine an MGB roadster with a V8 3.5 engine conversion does wonders for the enviroment either. lol
  13. I think people are fooling themselves if they think the only difference (apart from price) between an Audi A1 and a Fabia is the badge. The recent VW tv ad : blah blah blah "like a golf", blah blah "like a golf" was spot on and is the result of the same kind of thinking.
  14. Seems ludicrous that buying a new car should then involve having to worry about using the right fuel - usually the most expensive - and driving in a particular (no pun intended) way in order for the car to have no problems. If the manufacturer can't meet the emission rules without inconveniencing the end user then get the rules changed!
  15. The only way this could be resolved is if the British Standard specs made items 1 - 6 in Llanigrahams post compulsory but then we'd miss out on these amusing threads. Right i'm off to fill up at Morrisons now cos the girl on the checkout says the fuel is just the same as BP, Shell etc.
  16. You can buy a sachet of additive to prevent the water from freezing but is this really part of the MOT test??
  17. People used to advise using Jeweller's Rouge for the removal of scratches on glass, never tried it myself but may be worth a look. As for the sight of a police car - don't hold your breath.
  18. Take a look at the BMW 120D. 0-60 7 seconds - 380nm - 60mpg on combined cycle. What's not to like? Hmm - price I suppose.
  19. I think it's worth having for motorway driving and the extra storage.
  20. Not often you see "dealer" and "honest" in the same sentence.
  21. If the dealer pays £15100 for the car and sells it for £17100 he only pays vat on £2000 - not the full value of the car.
  22. Looks interesting. The only things that dont look right to me are the white and black door mirrors. I would prefer all black.
