  1. Hi Eddie- I'm interested in the perforated wheel as I'm pretty sure this will match what's in my 2013 Scout. Do you have any Bluetooth units too?
  2. I had black crap all over the back of my old A4 TDi- turned out it was a leaking fuel pipe under the car. The smell of fuel was very apparent though, so I'm sure you would have noticed.
  3. Bolero? Did you accidentally press the 'Phone' button? I think it mutes the sound?
  4. Where do these 'black boxes' come from? Do you get them now if you purchase brand new ones? Do Kenwood charge extra for them? If I buy a used one off eBay I guess it won't come with one- what options will I then have to get hold of this widget?
  5. Hi Eddie- what's the USB lead that needs to be connected? How easy is this to fit to a 2013 Mk2 Octavia Scout with Bolero? And finally- so you have any BT kits? Thanks!
  6. Hi Christoper- would you mind if I asked how much you paid for it? Thanks, Tom.
  7. So how do you find it? Do you hook it up to an iPod? How's the interface? How's the satnav? How's the BT? Cheers
  8. Has anyone any practise experience between the Columbus and this unit? I'm floating between the two at the moment...
  9. Can you try narrowing down the problem? IE try with another phone/MP3 player and then with a different 3.5mm jack cable?
  10. I have them on my Scout, and they are one of the best things ever. When parking in my unlit garage they light up either side of the car and garage to see what I'm doing, when parking in dark rural areas I can see what I'm walking on as I approach the car, and they highlight puddles etc. I would not be without them now. And I'd love to find out more about replacing them with LEDs...
  11. This is just a two hour warning is it not? Some cars have technology that can detect eye movements and other facial features that can be evidence of fatigue and gives the driver a warning- THAT was what I thought fatigue detection was ..
  12. Could the passenger side clearing first be due to the driver sat behind the wheel or does this happen when passengers are in place too?
  13. I have a '13 Scout TDi. Its basically the same as any other Octavia inside- the seat cloth is slightly different. It has lots of toys as standard (self-dimming mirrors, cruise, dual climate, hill hold, auto lights and wipers, tinted rear windows etc. On the outside it has protective cladding, and under body protection. The ride is (slightly) raised and it has Haldex 4x4. I've only got about 5k on the clock and I'm expecting it to loosen up further. At the moment I'm getting an indicated 52mpg on the way to work and about 48mpg on the way back. I get just around 550 miles on a 60l tank which works out to about 42mpg average for a tankful.
  14. Check out the economy- I think they're pretty horrendous!
  15. My manual Scout does have Hill Hold, as did my A1 DSG I had before that. All you would experience as a driver is taking your foot off the brake pedal and for four or five seconds it's as if your foot is still on it. This gives you time to engage gear and pull away. It uses sensors to determine angle of slope, and applies HHC where it deems it necessary.
  16. I'm not sure that's the case- I'm sure I've seen FL Scouts on Autotrader that have it. I just assumed they phased it out for cost reasons towards the end of the FL's production.
  17. I bought a new Octavia Scout in mid-July....
  18. My '13 plate Scout doesn't have a grab handle for some reason :(
  19. +1 Our local indy (a little more established than your average one-man-band) has always been competitive against the online sellers- and that's without even requesting or mentioning a price match!
