  1. As I suspect @Tech1e is also thinking, has the direction control on the fascia become detached from the flap(s) in the control box?
  2. Tell him in writing what he can do with any future business!
  3. Did "Cool Thud" bleat endlessly about "how unfair it was that drivers who were cheating by running off the track got stuck in gravel traps"?
  4. This usually means the engine is running rich (diesel) or very rich (petrol). I'd start by changing the air filter element, oh and not using full throttle below about 2_000 rpm.
  5. Dunno for sure but if the oil level is good I'd suspect a bunged up oil pickup, which is a sump off job to confirm and cure if I'm right.
  6. Your other possibility is that the drains through the back edges of the front arches are choked.
  7. So that's why the climate controls are so stupidly low!! @guss84 - Do you have the CD stacker? It's in the LHS of the boot near the rear light cluster.
  8. Well, ZF Transmissions say 100_000 miles and they've forgotten more than I know! What I do know is that used ATF stinks to high heaven and back, so it's worth getting a local garage to do this job for you!
  9. As I think already mentioned, the issue is in the dip switch (stalk), not the headlight switch (rotary). You might be able to recover it for a while by using the flash function, but you really need a new switch I'm afraid.
  10. They're the same as Elegance ones, apart from being wrapped in leather. Leather wise you can get both "hearing aid beige" and grey for sure.
  11. Not as such, but I have mates. General report on Subaru is decent reliability, not so good on fuel (even the non-turbo 2.0l only does 30mpg).
  12. Quick straw poll in my office has the clutch saying "brains, brains..." Oh and do you have red on you?
  13. Another 1.6l Felly unit (may come from a VW Golf or Polo). Pretty much anything else means new engine mounts and maybe drive shafts,
  14. Check the oil level because the oil light on this car warns of low level as well as low pressure. That might clear the oil light.
  15. And then there's "Lance Stroll", who still makes me think of a character from a "Skid Solo" cartoon strip and not a real person.
  16. No, that's a header (or footer) tank. There is no coolant flow through a shroud. It's just a screen that flows all air that flows over the radiator fins through the fan. This web page https://wizardcooling.com/fan-shroud-selection-chart/ illustrates the sort of things we mean. (Ricardo, this is purely to explain the term, not to show a Felicia part.)
  17. No it isn't. It's a 1.8t petrol, or a 1.9tdi diesel.
  18. So it's not "Formula 1" but "Formula tyre management" then?
  19. Which of the "big 6" were doing the best price for, say, 10_000 of $size that month?
  20. Yes! Please note that a thermostat does more that just "stop water going to the radiator when the engine is cold", it also controls the coolant flow when the engine is hot, and perverse as this sounds removing the thermostat doesn't always give you more cooling although it will probably give you a longer/slower warmup.
  21. That, or "drop arms". Also, the damper centreline is normally not over the tyre.
  22. Try a web search for "Britax sunroof"; No promises, but they sold lots of tilt and lift out perspex panels to UK dealers and importers.
  23. I got that; white smoke from a diesel usually means incomplete combustion due to a cold engine (internal temperature, not water jacket).
