Lower fuel economy/power 5w40 Quantum Vs 5w30
Well, there may be some protection from the base stock, but that will come from the 5W rating pumping up pressure faster on a cold engine.

Vented or not rear discs
Even if they're the same diameter, vented discs are typically about 3 times thicker than solid discs from one wearing face to the other. So I'd expect that you'll need new calipers.

MOT SII TDI
It's an advisory: ignore it, especially since it may not be repeated next year, or even at a different MOT station.

Two warning beeps - why?
It's quite possible that all the hardware except the control switch(es) is present, and it's supposed to be disabled in software.

Briefly losing power
That may be your problem...

Tappets or piston slap?
Such a Agra Engineering, Brodie Britten racing and Mountune for example?

Tdi cool off time
I don't like the sound of that either, but since I have no idea when they occur, I have no idea what causes them, just that I don't get this issue on VAG, PSA, Ford, Vauxhall or Rover group cars (and haven't in over 30 years)

Tdi cool off time
Zeer goede meneer @e-Roottoot.

Tdi cool off time
Never needed more cool down on a TDi (any make) than a couple of minutes in a 30mph limit and manoeuvring.

Planning to Tow With a New Car - BEWARE
Accepting a Nissan Terrano is also grounds for voiding the contract, due to "want of understanding" ;-)

Multiple lights went out at once
Are you getting other electrical gremlins, like with fan and/or radio head unit turning themselves off, ABS (and/or traction control if fitted)? If so, then I'd suspect the actual problem is with the alternator control wires, alternator clutch or battery. The cheapest of those to fix (and easiest to diagnose by text) is the alternator control wires. Do you get an alternator light when you switch on but don't start the engine? If not, then it's the control wires almost for sure.

Fabia VRS Slow Puncture Issue - Bead Leak Fix A Possible DIY?
Pretty much yes. It's based on knowing a couple of actual tyre fitters.
-
Cruise control/driving slowly?
I never said otherwise; what I said was that this limit is legally unenforceable, that is that any attempt to prosecute (criminal or civil law) for, say 8mph in a 5mph zone will fail, so as long as you are driving carefully don't sweat it!
-
Cruise control/driving slowly?
As was my original reply, based on idle in first being the best steady low speed pretty much any car can achieve.

Fabia VRS Slow Puncture Issue - Bead Leak Fix A Possible DIY?
If you don't have a tyre machine, your only recourse would be to go weight off wheel(s), blow them up to about 3 bar (45 PSI), then deflate to manufacturer's recommendation for model.

2021 F1 Discussion
Well, I thought, having actually seen on-car shots from both competitors and from a camera looking along the track from behind them that it was more "GR puts 2 wheels on the grass, then blames Valtiri for him having done so". Also highly unimpressed with DC for taking GR's word for it then trying to recant without actually apologising after he realised what happened.
-
Cruise control/driving slowly?
Also ISTR that a 5mph "speed limit" is actually legally unenforceable because it is below the minimum speed that a lot of speedometers will register anything other "needle on the low end stop" at.

Which engine oil 1.9sdi fabia mk1
Any reputable brand 5W30 will be OK for an SDi running this change schedule.
-
Cruise control/driving slowly?
Not the foggiest, but that is about idle speed in first gear, which will be sustained by the idle controller on most electronic injection systems.

MotoGP 2022 (and previous season back to 2018)
Well, it's not unknown for competitors who get on with driving/riding their own machine rather than whining to the meedja to report that they made a faster lap when being slipstreamed than by themself. Perhaps Mir needs to learn to ride?

Help getting my felicia 1.3mpi engine started
Neither do I, mostly because there is no signature in that post to read.

EPC light on, slow revving and juddering engine?
Well, given that it's thrown an EPC, maybe read the fault codes rather than playing a "throw money at it" lottery?
-
MotoGP 2022 (and previous season back to 2018)
No sign of MM93 throwing his bike at marshals in free practice and under a double waved yellow then?

Noise on acceleration
Well, that suggests a resonance coming from the tyres or suspension. Would your garage be able to lend you a set of a different make tyres?
-
Noise on acceleration
Well, I'm still wondering about a loose heat shield, most probably above one of the cats, or between the back box and the fuel tank, or on the exhaust manifold. Other than the manifold, these require a manual inspection, not just a visual one.
