Engine warning light came on, then went off.
You could scan for non-latching fault codes.
-
ABS warning light.
Let me know when you start getting sparkling chilled water out of your taps without processing like a Qoocker.
-
Felicia head gasket nightmare
Definitely, as long as you have a suitable plane surface to rub the blue off against.
-
Front assist (collision avoidance) braked out of the blue. What could have caused it?
A crisp packet, a misread turn in the road...
-
No ignition lights.
Yes. One is even relevant! Start by checking that the battery terminals both make good contact with the posts.
-
ABS warning light.
OK. Any issues with ICE, ventilation, PAS...?

false readings on speedometer
Your fuel tank won't hold 1_000 miles of fuel.
-
ABS warning light.
More likely to be a goosed wheel sensor. Particularly if the traction control warning is also appearing.

Skoda Rapid diesel, doesn't slow down much with foot off the pedal - is this normal?
No, because despite what @J.R. has implied, there is no actual butterfly on a diesel engine, just a venturi.

2021 Estate Rear End Feels Loose
Yes. Unless I've got passengers and luggage, I keep mine at 32PSI (maybe 2.1 bar) and it feels pretty planted.

2021 Estate Rear End Feels Loose
@Jonop Start by checking the tyre pressures. Unless you regularly carry actual loads (say 2 rear passengers plus luggage), bring those down to the lower of the pressures in the fuel filler, and reset the TPMS.

Octavia 1.9 tdi won't go in reverse
Try putting it into second, lift the clutch to the biting point, declutch again and then see if it will select reverse.

Gearbox Jolt then hi revs with spanner sign on dash bord
A fault that is not recognised by whatever generic diagnostics computer they use.

Smart Motorway
Not always. I was on the M8 Westbound around J18, say 55.869782, -4.260721, and found a broken down car in lane 3. It had reduced the traffic speed to about 5mph. Long story short, I hopped out and told them I'd get off the motorway and notify the police to arrange recovery.

Bosch Battery life - 5 years?

Is it possible to upgrade the wheel (bigger size Rim)
He meant that 18" wheels would be less comfortable than 16" or the standard 17". The 16" might also improve fuel consumption, and pay for themselves in 1_000_000 miles or so.

Exhaust issue
Change your garage. As others, a petrol car cannot have a diesel filter in the exhaust.
-
Octavia 05 1.9 Elegance TDI. Car does not think doors are shut, and thus central locking, d/s window control, and central dash lock mechanism not working.
also @Davidmb - Google search with "& @briskoda" appended to the string should bring up only relevant posts from Briskoda.

2.0 tdi octavia vrs cutting out whilst driving
That user last visited 6 years ago. I suggest you start a new thread with observable symptoms, fault code, fault narrative if any, and maybe what code reader you're using (that can make a difference)

Skoda Octavia A5 combi 4x4 problem
or you can use the parts cannon.

Is it the alternator or something else? - battery light (photos attached)
Ok, so UK "Sale of Goods Acts" apply. That means that the item (in this case the car as whole) must be "fit for purpose" and warranted (when sold by a dealer) for a period of 6 months from date of sale; other clauses may extend this.

Motorists warned to only use main roads if ‘necessary’ as National Highways workers strike
Not forgetting the over-reacting. 9 miles of "Lane Closed. 30 mph limit", for a single car immobilised in lane 3 down in Cumbria. I mean everyone reacted to the first sign, but most of us were back up to speed by around the 5th, which was on an LH curve.

Skoda fabia estate 2004, not starting
Is this photo correct? With the ignition on, the battery light is not illuminating. If so, I'd suspect an alternator control wire to be broken or disconnected before thinking about anything more expensive.

See, this why we ask you to at least fill in a nation under "location", is that we can give you better legal/warranty advice if we know what laws apply.

Glow plug light: Brake light switch or something else?
@J.R. AIUI, if all three brake lights are non-functional and the glow plug light is flashing then the issue is almost certainly the brake switch. If both stated conditionals are not met, then the issue is almost certainly something else.
