  1. That can only get worse, until your car vanishes in a cloud of its own steam.
  2. The leather L&K interior is either hearing aid beige or grey. Why anyone bought a car with the HEB interior escapes.
  3. Take the power feed from an ignition live circuit, rather than a permanent live.
  4. Pallas. Oh and the 1015, 1129 and 1222 cc variants (which went into other versions than just the Pallas) would fit into a 2CV, a Dyane or an Ami (petrol) as well as the 1299.

Agreed. Also agreed about just how restricted the space in modern engine bays is. As for EGR, chat to some local to you taxi drivers about "who knows" stuff like EGRectomies.
  6. Confirm a/c will be disabled by low temperature. As others, you need to crack a window (or the sunroof if fitted) to dump the wet air.
  7. It's borderline whether or not the air con will operate at current temperatures. What is the outside temperature (gauge) where you are when doing a cold start?
  8. Yes, but the 205 has a cable clutch, Fabias have hydraulic. Maybe, if you bleed it...
  9. Ah, that makes sense. Run your hand both ways around the circumference and you should feel the saw-tooth edges. If so, swap the tyres front and rear on the same side of the car (LF to LR and vice versa).
  10. Not sure I understand this; I've never heard the term before. Any chance of some photos?
  11. Likely that's it if it's not the wiring; the wiper spindle isn't totally waterproof, and sometimes it leaks into the motor.
  12. Easy enough to (dis)prove; look for a wet patch or cooland residue just below the thermostat housing.
  13. I've emphasised the model that would have had 5x100 wheels, for your special benefit.
  14. In case anyone is at all unclear on this, car 98 (and I think the other Fords) is a 7.0l GT mk2, not a GT40 with a "small block" 4.7l engine.
  15. More accurately, "front passenger airbag off". It's for when/if you have a rear-facing baby seat on the front passenger seat. Other than that, airbag fault lights are normally latching, and require dealer grade software, such as VCDS, to be cancelled.
  16. Were they bought for an Octavia 1 perhaps? If so, then the wheels are 5x100 and the bolt centres on the Kamiq are 5x112.
  17. Loose bolt (or 2 bolts) on the cam/rocker cover?
  18. Which garage? This certainly does not look like Victoria Garage's work (Maud, AB42)
  19. With these recent cars the alternator is apt to be disabled unless the car thinks the battery needs more charge. If you also have Stop/Start, and you have a new(ish) to you battery, has it been mapped in to your car?
  20. Most likely a wiring problem in the driver's (LHF?) door bellows, needing the wires continuity checked, and maybe a new door loom.
