  1. Wife has a 2017 1.4 TSI DSG facelift which remembers the exact last drive mode selected upon restart, my 2022 Superb reverts back to 'Normal' upon every restart which is quite irritating as I usually use 'Eco' or 'Individual' drive modes. Why they decided to change this is a question only the software engineers will be able to answer.
  2. If you want to try to change the units over yourself there will be some useful information here
  3. The MIB3 Amundsen has no SD cards, internal memory for the maps.
  4. 2022 8 months old now on 26k
  5. The OP has a 22 plate SEL estate, so it will have all of what you mention as standard.
  6. Exactly the same, I always use a pump, no idea why people buy it in bottles when you can fill it at the pump.
  7. I have the latest 2023 MY Superb Hatch 150 TDI EVO with DSG engine which is listed at 133g/km. This is a 'cleaner' engine than earlier variants which I believe includes double injection of Adblue but due to the way the emissions are now measured appears to be a higher polluting engine!
  8. Regardless of what they say and/or what should happen I'm pretty sure the eSIM is tracking you all the time and has been the case since 2018 when it became EU law. They know where you are, how fast you are driving etc etc. Not a Skoda but this shows just how much data can be logged, read the car technology bit which starts about half way down this report https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-51466273
  9. I don't think you can compare the readings from a new model vehicle to an older model vehicle as the way the readings have been calculated has been changed. The Nissan petrol hybrid being the newer model, the latest Superb EVO diesel 150ps has a higher rating than the previous diesel versions (despite being cleaner in reality), so we should really compare a 2023 Nissan to a 2023 Superb for back to back comparison. P.S. I don't know what age your Superb is or what engine version you have.
  10. What units are you using?. 1000 miles is 1600 km, just a thought.
  11. Glad we've got that sorted, it can be quite confusing with the different features from model to model. Hope you enjoy your Superb ownership.
  12. You seem to be a bit unsure of the exact model you have, there is an SE, SE Technology, and also an SEL models. Both SE Tech & SEL had KESSY for a 20MY, yet you say the door handles have no dimple which would indicate no keyless entry. A few questions: Are you in the UK, is it a UK specification car, is it keyless start or do you have to put the key in the ignition, and does it have an electric boot lid and heated seats? (it may help us understand exactly which model you have).
  13. As its a 20MY keyless entry will work on all four doors.
  14. How about this one https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/products/coolant-reservoir-tank
  15. Sounds like the uneven tyre wear on the rear tyres. You may need to get down on hands and knees to check the inner edges of the rear tyres for wear. Take a look at this
  16. It depends which MY your Superb is, from the facelift model (2019 on) the keys have a movement sensor which stops transmitting any signal when it's not being moved.
  17. Am I right in thinking the TDI EVO engine version has only been out in VWG from about 2019/2020?. Any idea what the recommended mileage/time is for the cambelt?
  18. My dealer told me my previous car VW 150 TDI DSG (2018 MY) needed the belt changed at 210,000km/5 years. The mileage limit came up before the 5 years so I had the cambelt and water pump changed at the 131,000 mile service. However, the belt specification may or may not have been changed since then, seems to depend who you ask, even dealers don't seem to know for sure which always baffles me as they have the details for all vehicles available to them.
  19. Could it be the same car as here
  20. I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage depending on how many miles you will put on it, for example if you only do 5k/year the average mileage will come down so go for it, but if you do 20k/year it may be better leave this one. It does have a very good specification, think carefully before committing, go and take a look at it, it probably won't be for sale for very long with that specification.
  21. It's all relative to what features you value and why. The way I look at it is how often would you use the heated windscreen, maybe a few times a year and usually in the winter months, but an electric tailgate gets used every time you use the boot, sometimes multiple times a day, and all year round so to me that makes it a far more 'must have' option. You can of course manage without either, but given a choice between the two I would have the electric tailgate. My wife has an Octavia with heated windscreen and manual hatch, I have a Superb SEL with electric hatch but no heated windscreen (but I do have the supplementary heater).
  22. In the UK version we get the 'supplementary' heater which doesn't burn any fuel and only works when the engine is running, it does produce heat very quickly in the cabin. The type that burns fuel is called the auxiliary heater. In the infotainment screen it will look something like this:
  23. As far as I know 'sunset glass' is exactly the same as 'privacy glass' - just a different name. A previous poster took a photo of their wife's Superb with aftermarket tinted windows compared to the standard privacy glass, scroll down to see the two cars in the same photo (post from Steviedakota):
