  1. It has probably been on variable servicing (longlife) since new, if this is the case it should have had at least one full service, or if it's on fixed servicing it is due it's third service at about 28k miles. Skoda may say it is due a brake fluid change and air con service at three years old (I would leave the air con service if it still blows cold). A Skoda dealer, or the seller, should be able to give you a print out of the car service history. Has it had it's first MOT?. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

  3. I have a Superb so it may or may not be exactly the same. I use the right arrow (on the right hand side of the steering wheel) to change between the different virtual cockpit screens then use the left button (still on the right hand side of the steering wheel) and then use the roller button to scroll between the options you can select from between the dials.
  4. From a purely practical point of view as you plan on keeping it for the long run I would go for the lower mileage 2024 SE Tech, as you already say it's still got 2 years manufacturers warranty (which you could extend when the time comes), lower mileage, cheaper on fuel/tyres insurance etc, latest tech. The vRS already has 50k on the clock so in the long run it will probably cost more on maintenance sooner than you might think as things wear out in a year or two, brakes, suspension, maybe clutch and so on. The SE Tech will also give the family a softer more comfortable ride than the vRS - useful when the little ones need to get some sleep in the car. When the 'toddlers' have grown up and left home (yes, I know it's a long time off) and you have more spare cash go for the 2050 vRS (if there is such a thing by then!).
  5. The wife was recently given a Karoq for the day when her Octavia was in for a service, a new SE Edition DSG model, she liked everything about it except the seats which were very basic and flat and she found it extremely uncomfortable. Before I had my Superb I had a Tiguan SEL (ok, different to the T-Roc) and again she found the SUV driving position/seats pretty uncomfortable - it was more of a sit up dining chair driving position than a comfortable arm chair type sitting position as in the Octavia & Superb, sometimes the SUV seats don't go low enough for our preferred sitting/driving position. You really need to sit in them and see for yourselves how you & your partner feel, one may be suitable and the other one not so much, if they are both suitable select the one with the equipment you feel is the better option for your requirements.
  6. That was the rear offside tyre, the fronts had also become slightly out of balance giving some vibration through the steering wheel (I'll forgive them that given the 65k miles). The rear nearside wasn't affected. The tyre depot suggested there could have been a defect in the rear offside tyre since new, but can't say for sure, the inside of this tyre was perfectly normal which we weren't expecting to see after if was taken off the alloy wheel. The two fronts were worn slightly more in the centre suggesting over inflation but I always put in the recommended 2.5 bar (36psi) for the 18" wheels, so the lower of the two pressures as shown inside the fuel filler flap. It's in for its first MOT in a couple of months so I'll ask the Skoda garage to take a look.
  7. Got four new tyres fitted today. The previous Pirelli Cinturato P7 did a fantastic job and covered 65k miles, and while they still had plenty of tread left over the majority of the tyre in places they had worn through to the inner layer - that explains the noisy and lumpy drive I've been experiencing lately. The car had Bridgestone Turanza T005 on from new and as soon as the Pirelli's went on I lost up to 5mpg so I've gone back to these, the Bridgestone won't last as long, originals lasted 35k, but as the car will be going to a new owner before that it's not something I have to consider. Also booked it in for it's first MOT in a couple of months, current mileage is 98300 so it will be well over 100k when it hits 3 years old. Still Superb by name and nature - looking a a Superb 4 as a replacement.
  8. I really like having a decent sized tank, officially 66 litres (I think, or thereabouts), on this occasion I squeezed just over the 1000 miles and if memory serves correct it took 71 litres to fill it.
  9. You can take it back but the problem is the car will register no fault, so Skoda won't be able to fix something that doesn't register a fault, dashcam proof or not. P Mine does it in one particular location, a fairly quiet 30mpm zone that has a slight bend in the road where residents park off the road on the near side, my thought is the front assist sees these cars just before it's realised we're about to go around a slight bend so brakes - I use the ACC a lot and I'm used to in now so turn off the ACC just before I get there and a few seconds later engage the ACC and all is fine again - until the next time. Can you adjust the front assist sensitivity in your 2025MY https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/498811-front-assist-setting-sensitivity/
  10. Unfortunately you are not alone, a quick Google will reveal this is common place, and has been for a few years, it's how the system reacts to a 'false' front assist warning where the car registers something that isn't actually there, although newer cars seem to be more susceptible than older cars (my guess is the software has been update and is too sensitive for most people).
  11. £800k more! - you did rather well there...................(that's £800,000)
  12. I have no experience of the website you mention but in your position I would have done exactly the same as yourself, it could well be a scam so avoid no matter what they ask or offer. Some people suggest something such as https://motorway.co.uk/ or similar is a good place to sell your car, might be worth looking at this option.
  13. As already mentioned by Danoid this was a fairly common problem a couple of years ago (although the cause in your case could be different, a diagnostic check should give the problem area).
  14. If the dipstick is showing just under half the oil light should not be coming on, the yellow low oil warning usually comes on when the oil level is right at the bottom end of the dipstick. Perhaps there is a problem with the oil level sensor or the dipstick is the wrong one for the engine. Having said that if it has dropped half way down the dipstick in 1000km the oil use is quite high in my opinion, but just within the 0.5 litre/1000km that Skoda suggest. For comparison I have the 150 TDI which currently has 95,000 miles (153,000km) and between 30,000km longlife services I may have to put in 1/2 litre to keep it topped up (it would go the whole 30,000km without topping up but I prefer the oil to be at the higher end of the dipstick).
  15. Have a read of this kindly put together by a Briskoda member https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/491347-how-to-retrofit-virtual-cockpit
  16. Open the bonnet and on the panel just above the headlights somewhere there will be a sticker that shows exactly which oil your engine uses, such as 5W-30, I have the 2.0 TDI 150 bhp which uses 0W-20. As mentioned above it needs to be the correct specification, not just the right grade so check carefully. If the oil is only just on the bottom of the dipstick it will probably take a whole 1 litre to fill it up, but go half a bottle first then check, add more if necessary. The sticker you are looking for will be something like this.
  17. The car in that link has park assist, panoramic sunroof, heated front seats and possibly a rear view camera (looking at the rear picture - no mention of it but worth asking as a nice feature to have), things the cars in your original link don't have.
  18. This was changed for the 2022MY (which the OP has) as owners state in this Briskoda posting

  20. Perhaps it has just unseated itself from the mounting bracket and needs pushing back in place, or maybe the mounting bracket needs replacing as they have been known to fail, same thing here on a Kodiaq https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9lZCQcScc0
  21. I had the same/similar message on mine, turned out there was an accumulation of debris between the front cover and the radar unit itself, a quick clean and all is back to normal. Take a quick look at this posted on Briskoda https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/479819-how-to-remove-acc-radar-cover/#comment-5549802
  22. I understand where people are coming from but given how much of our lives are under constant scrutiny from our cars, CCTV, laptops & PC's, televisions, broadband etc etc (the list goes on and on) this is relatively minor. Also bear in mind what else is being tracked whenever you open the Skoda app on your phone, I've just checked my phone which shows:
  23. As mentioned earlier the speed of other vehicles may be giving what you are describing.
  24. I get quite attached to mine (except they aren't really mine as it's a company car), I do treat it as if I own it and look after it really well, the company buy them outright and sell them on when the time comes, there's usually several people at work queueing up to buy it, as despite the higher mileage they know how it's been treated. I spend so much time in it driving up and down the country for my work it becomes a good friend, I've had the Superb from new and now at just over 2 1/2 years old approaching 92k on it. I've had many new cars over the years and don't get the new car excitement any more so quite happy to keep it until I'm forced to part with it - not looking forward to that day. When I have to replace it I'm thinking of a mk4 Superb PHEV (although there may be newer Skoda models out before then so I'll see nearer the time).
