I really like having a decent sized tank, officially 66 litres (I think, or thereabouts), on this occasion I squeezed just over the 1000 miles and if memory serves correct it took 71 litres to fill it.

You can take it back but the problem is the car will register no fault, so Skoda won't be able to fix something that doesn't register a fault, dashcam proof or not. P Mine does it in one particular location, a fairly quiet 30mpm zone that has a slight bend in the road where residents park off the road on the near side, my thought is the front assist sees these cars just before it's realised we're about to go around a slight bend so brakes - I use the ACC a lot and I'm used to in now so turn off the ACC just before I get there and a few seconds later engage the ACC and all is fine again - until the next time. Unfortunately you are not alone, a quick Google will reveal this is common place, and has been for a few years, it's how the system reacts to a 'false' front assist warning where the car registers something that isn't actually there, although newer cars seem to be more susceptible than older cars (my guess is the software has been update and is too sensitive for most people).

I have no experience of the website you mention but in your position I would have done exactly the same as yourself, it could well be a scam so avoid no matter what they ask or offer. Some people suggest something such as https://motorway.co.uk/ or similar is a good place to sell your car, might be worth looking at this option.

As already mentioned by Danoid this was a fairly common problem a couple of years ago (although the cause in your case could be different, a diagnostic check should give the problem area).

If the dipstick is showing just under half the oil light should not be coming on, the yellow low oil warning usually comes on when the oil level is right at the bottom end of the dipstick. Perhaps there is a problem with the oil level sensor or the dipstick is the wrong one for the engine. Having said that if it has dropped half way down the dipstick in 1000km the oil use is quite high in my opinion, but just within the 0.5 litre/1000km that Skoda suggest. For comparison I have the 150 TDI which currently has 95,000 miles (153,000km) and between 30,000km longlife services I may have to put in 1/2 litre to keep it topped up (it would go the whole 30,000km without topping up but I prefer the oil to be at the higher end of the dipstick).

Open the bonnet and on the panel just above the headlights somewhere there will be a sticker that shows exactly which oil your engine uses, such as 5W-30, I have the 2.0 TDI 150 bhp which uses 0W-20. As mentioned above it needs to be the correct specification, not just the right grade so check carefully. If the oil is only just on the bottom of the dipstick it will probably take a whole 1 litre to fill it up, but go half a bottle first then check, add more if necessary. The sticker you are looking for will be something like this.

The car in that link has park assist, panoramic sunroof, heated front seats and possibly a rear view camera (looking at the rear picture - no mention of it but worth asking as a nice feature to have), things the cars in your original link don't have.

This was changed for the 2022MY (which the OP has) as owners state in this Briskoda posting

Perhaps it has just unseated itself from the mounting bracket and needs pushing back in place, or maybe the mounting bracket needs replacing as they have been known to fail, same thing here on a Kodiaq https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9lZCQcScc0

I had the same/similar message on mine, turned out there was an accumulation of debris between the front cover and the radar unit itself, a quick clean and all is back to normal. I understand where people are coming from but given how much of our lives are under constant scrutiny from our cars, CCTV, laptops & PC's, televisions, broadband etc etc (the list goes on and on) this is relatively minor. As mentioned earlier the speed of other vehicles may be giving what you are describing.

I get quite attached to mine (except they aren't really mine as it's a company car), I do treat it as if I own it and look after it really well, the company buy them outright and sell them on when the time comes, there's usually several people at work queueing up to buy it, as despite the higher mileage they know how it's been treated. I spend so much time in it driving up and down the country for my work it becomes a good friend, I've had the Superb from new and now at just over 2 1/2 years old approaching 92k on it. I've had many new cars over the years and don't get the new car excitement any more so quite happy to keep it until I'm forced to part with it - not looking forward to that day. When I have to replace it I'm thinking of a mk4 Superb PHEV (although there may be newer Skoda models out before then so I'll see nearer the time).

There is still a grey area over who exactly owns this data that is collected on us, and it is not available outside of the servers it is stored on unless the relevant authorities get the OK from a court of law. Why deviate from the manufacturers recommendations, I use 0W-20 as that is what they recommend for my Superb, there may well have been internal alterations to the specifications of the engine such as materials, limits & fits etc, so if they say 0W-20 I would go with that.

Here is a picture of mine in 'coasting' mode, you can see it is in 'D' (drive) but no gear position shown and at the top of the virtual cockpit it also shows 'Eco' within a circle. The revs drop to about 200rpm more than normal tickover until coasting is cancelled. Sorry for the poor photo, it was taken while driving up a private driveway.

Had my rear discs and pads changed last Friday, the discs looked in exceptionally good condition with just a slight lip on the outer edge, which is to be expected given the mileage, nothing like the ones pictured above, from new they lasted 90k miles (pads were down to the last 10%).

My Superb is now on its third windscreen, the last two replacements were made by Pilkington and they are at least as good as the original windscreen - no problems whatsoever, both fitted by National Windscreens (with ADAS calibration facilities). Not sure who Skoda use for their windscreens but it could well change to what is available at any given time, just like they fit different tyres to new cars depending what is available.

The Superb uses a different technology for the heated windscreen so you won't see any wires as there aren't any. It uses an extremely thin metallic coated layer within the windscreen that from certain angles looks like the windscreen has a metallic finish to it.
