2.0 Skoda 2.0 220 DSG Oil Change Missed
Probably no damage at all and it will be fine, you can get failures on low mileage cars if they are a few years old, it's quite random. And remember you only hear about the failures and not those that have run for 200k+ miles which will be many many cars. Get the oil changed and don't worry.

Guess the Hire Car.... Mac's 2019 game
As you were in Spain there was a good chance Seat would be available, and the Arona is assembled in Martorell. What have I won............................

Climate control issue
Maybe the internal temperature sensors have decided the temperature is at/near your desired temperature, hence automatically turning down the fan speed. What A/C profile are you using, mine's usually set to 'Medium', but over the past few days I've set it to 'High' mode.

Which engine?
You won't know for sure until you've driven one yourself, personally I'm sure the 1.5 TSI is perfectly fine, not to mention the added economy (if economy matters to you). I also wouldn't discount the iV even if you don't/can't charge it, again try one out.

Guess the Hire Car.... Mac's 2019 game
For this I'm mainly going back to my previous suggestions of Renault Captur/Dacia Duster/Toyota C-HR/3008 plus a Seat Arona (not sure what counts as group R without checking).

TPMS Management
I find on my Superb it's pretty sensitive, I recently got a warning saying one of the tyres had low pressure, upon checking it was only 2psi down from the other three, I would consider that reasonably accurate, pretty close parameter wise (based on wheel rotation - I don't have the active TPMS). Having said that I would consider having the direct system option on my next car if it's not standard (depending on the option price), currently £155 on the new Superb.

Alas its goodbye

Crack has appeared in heated windscreen
According to the Skoda UK warranty terms & conditions the windscreen is covered for the first month or 600 miles from date of first registration (whichever comes first), https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/190724ab-ac7d-4c6b-943a-c80462816d1c

Crack has appeared in heated windscreen
Had this on the wife's Octavia, parked it on the drive one evening, got in the next morning to find it cracked just as in your picture. The very bottom of the windscreen is covered by trim but it did appear to originate from the lower edge upwards. Stress fractures can happen unfortunately, in our case there was no warranty on the car so we had to pay for a new screen. Hope your dealer helps out in this instance - fingers crossed.

Maybe try the coding here near the end of the thread kindly posted by SasahGrace, although the coding is to have it on permanently - worth a try?

Do you get the 'Error' message briefly on the dash, if so take a look here:

What have you done to your Superb III today?
That price seems very reasonable (to a diesel driver), works out at about £1.545/litre - imagine how us diesel drivers feel, I saw some this morning at over £2.00/litre, but generally around the £1.90/litre, the same 66 litres would be over £125 (although my average economy is pretty good which partly goes towards cancelling the higher price out- luckily).

2016 Superb 2.0Tdi burning oil
It's odd how some engines use oil and some don't, with greatly varying degrees of oil consumption. I've been checking the oil level on my 2.0TDI more regularly lately, not because it's using oil, but because it isn't! (just making sure). The more miles I put on it the less it uses, now 3 1/5 years old just coming up to 124k, but it does have an easy life sitting on the motorway at 70mph (1600rpm) for mile after mile. An added bonus this morning was I covered 225 miles with an average consumption of 74.3mpg.

This Skoda UK page suggests the battery is under warranty for 8 years or up to 100k miles whichever comes first, no mention of number of owners. However, it does state the warranty is for battery 'defects' , which is not the same as if the battery was to not last 8 years or 100k miles due to its natural life span- clarification from Skoda would be required as it's not clear in my mind. Features such as some of the above were optional when new, unless you buy a top spec version to begin with, and even then they don't include all the features your Freelander has, it's how Skoda make the entry price appear attractive, but when you have added all the features you really want the price becomes rather more than you initially thought. That's sales! If you are lucky you may find a second hand one where someone added all the features you list when new. Will your budget stretch to a Superb iV plug in hybrid, if so the L&K version may be worth a look as it has everything you list plus more, or an SEL with added winter pack.

I believe the Octavia PHEV was only available from 2021 to 2024, so all will be the mk4 version, all have the small(ish) 13kWh battery, officially giving up to just over a 40 mile range, in reality nearer 25-30 mile range, and with only one gearbox as stated by Evolution13 above. When the mk4.5 (facelift) was introduced in 2025 the PHEV was discontinued in favour of the MHEV version (1.5TSI e-TEC which is not plug in). The PHEV has a raised boot floor height to accommodate the battery and there is room for a charging cable underneath but not much else. You could have a spare wheel and store it in the boot using the tie down points to keep it in place. Some have managed to get a space saver (skinny) spare to fit under the boot floor but not ideal. However, as you may not be in the UK the information above may be different in other countries. Pretty sure I've got that correct, happy to be corrected by anyone with greater knowledge than myself.

Kodiaq 2025 2 litre petrol economy
13L/100km is 18 US mpg, in UK mpg that's about 22mpg which sounds about right for the 2.0 TSI in city driving.

Should I swap for 1.8tsi? any good engine
The wife has a 1.4 TSI DSG Octavia FL and it's a great engine, more than quick enough when needed, but also economical when driven gently, often returning 50mpg+, I would have no hesitation in recommending this engine. I have no experience of the 1.8 TSI but have heard 2013 and older versions can consume lots of oil, later ones are better, hopefully someone a bit more knowledgeable than myself may be able to clarify the 1.8 strong/weak points.
