  1. I connect my S23 Ultra wirelessly for android auto. Get the odd incident when it disconnects but instantly reconnects so I don't find it a problem.
  2. Moisture in the lights is normal. Only a problem if you get large droplets. It is mentioned in the manual.......... The matrix led is only active if no street lights and above a certain speed.
  3. I do know what it means I was wondering why it was thought of as such. I can't really say that I ever notice it.
  4. Not being funny but why is it a pita?
  5. My 2023 SE L Exec doesn't have lane keep assist, THANK GOD!! On my 2021 Octavia vRS it was the very first thing I turned off, every trip.
  6. When do you use them? I can't remember more than once or twice that i've needed front or rear fogs in the last few years.
  7. Indeed, but if it's rated as zero towing capacity it will most definately be illegal to tow with it. EVER. If it's rated to tow get a towbar fitted but not by the dealer as they'll just farm the job out. I've had towbars fitted to 2 Kodiaq, neither had prep, neither had any problems.
  8. Mine did this with front left sensor when it was really warm a few weeks ago but it's stopped since the temps dropped.
  9. I've just swapped to a Kodiaq but still with a 2.0 tsi engine and that came with a cover. No reason a brand new vRS wouldn't.
  10. Jeez, my 2021 vRS tsi with paint and rear cam i'm sure was just over £32k but would be well over £37k now!!
  11. I've heard Skoda Manchester (in Salford) is closing with all business going to Stockport. Madness.
  12. Before I swapped it (the car) my S23 Ultra worked fine with my vRS.
  13. My mk 4 Octavia vRS used to do that, my brand new Kodiaq SE L Exec doesn't.
  14. I've just taken delivery of a new tsi 2.0 Kodiaq and it came with an engine cover. Unlike the vRS Octavia I part ex'd which didn't. Well it did but they nicked it.
  15. Had my first motorway trip last week in my new Kodiaq with bog basic cruise control. I've had a vRS Octavia for 2 years prior with adaptive cruise and I really missed it. I know it's been asked before but doesn't appear to have been answered as to can it be upgraded. Be nice if I could swap my boring cruise with the OP's clever one. 😁
  16. The Kodiaq isn't sold as a 'performance' car so it's irrelevant. Kodiaq has cruise not adaptive cruise so not the same system. Different state of tune so hopefully no worse. This will be my third Kodiaq so I know what i'm buying.
  17. My time with my petrol dsg vRS Estate will be ending on Monday when I collect a brand new Kodiaq SE L Executive 190tsi in black magic. This will be my third Kodiaq. I really can't say i'll miss the Octy apart from the looks. The vRS estate in race blue does look awesome imo. My main problems with the Octavia are the fake noise that I have to disable EVERY time I drive the car. The fact the fake noise is needed because the engine sounds like a bloody sewing machine. It sounds ok in VW and Seat so why not in the Skoda? The lane keep assist that also has to be disabled EVERY time. The early infotainment problems that have mostly been fixed it appears. I haven't driven on a motorway recently so couldn't say if the homicidal adaptive cruise would still be trying to kill me or not. I know it's a performance model but the fuel consumption still isn't good. Overall I won't miss the car as due to it's 'problems' I haven't really in all honesty enjoyed owning it. It's a 'sporty' model it should excite and for me it didn't. I'm sure others will disagree. The last time I felt this flat about a car was a 2007 VW Golf R32 which I also didn't really get along with, that was quick but by the time you were having fun you were going at silly speeds. Maybe i'm just getting old (I am) but that's how I feel after almost 2 years with the car. I think if the car had a 'fruity' exhause note, nothing too silly but something to show some sporting credentials I may have felt differently. Anyhow that's just my thoughts, some may agree, some might strongly disagree but I thought I would share,
  18. Last owned a Kodiaq almost 2 years ago. A 190bhp diesel SE L. Swapped that for an Octavia vRS tsi dsg estate. Didn't really bond with the vRS due to ongoing infotainment woes, bland engine note and bloody stupid fake noise. It does look great though in race blue. Visited the dealer on Thursday to view a few used Kodiaq but were offered a deal we could not refuse on an unregistered SE L 190tsi that was sitting in the showroom resplendant in black magic. Hopefully collect it early next week. My old SE L was pre facelift and a few of the up(down) grades are obvious, such as no removeable torch in the boot and only one brolly. Got 2 in the Octavia so i'm keeping one. I can also see the full leather, electric memory drivers seat and reversing camera my old car didn't have. What else will I find different from the older car? I believe the virual cockpit isn't like the one my vRS has but a lesser version? Any comments or observations welcome. Many thanks.
  19. I thought washers were compulsory for xennon and LED lights????
  20. That's not hardwired it's using the factory fitted usb c in the mirror surround. I have mine there too but it switches off with the ignition.
  21. Is the full matrix led just the standard led's with a software upgrade? I thought the hardware was different.
  22. Initially in the UK cloth was the ONLY option.
  23. MY vRS tsi like so many others has had it's engine cover removed at service. Has anyone had a replacement yet or is it never going to happen?
  24. Get a tsi dsg vRS estate and then tell me it's economical. It's NOT!! Not why I bought one admittedly but expected better than i'm getting.
