  1. Still under 500 miles on the clock and all mileage on local roads mostly at school run times and just under 30mpg. 140bhp diesel on same runs was low 40s but no doubt things will improve with more miles on the clock.
  2. Agreed about the heated seats but my petrol is blowing warm air within the first mile. Very quick to warm up.
  3. Very nice. Collected my petrol L&K just before Christmas so I know how you feel.
  4. Mine was ordered 30th September and collected it ready for Christmas on 22nd December.
  5. My local car wash also know it's a 4X4 and charge accordingly even though it's a fair bit smaller (though taller) than the Superb estate I used to own. I questioned it and they just pointed to the 4X4 badge on the hatch.
  6. Lovely car but we'll have to disagree on the wood. The piano black on my L&K looks MUCH classier.
  7. Heated screen in use here as well this morning. Much easier than scraping or sitting and waiting for the fan to clear it. Impressed.
  8. LOL Ordered mine 30th September and collected it 22nd December.
  9. But when there is a 3 month wait for the L&K (that nobody wants) why should they alter their ways?
  10. I can only comment on 200ish miles all on local roads and according to maxidot it's around 32.
  11. I was going to say exactly the same.
  12. A quick update after 2 weeks with my 1.4tsi. My 140bhp diesel was not happy at 30mph in 4th gear at all. The 1.4 petrol is happy to pootle along at 30mph in 4th or even 5th if it's fairly level.
  13. A pleasure John. I did get the impression your other half had switched off after about 10 mins of us talking cars. Glad it helped you make your mind up. It looks much better when it's clean.
  14. And don't I know it having to back off my drive past a gate post and our motorhome, Beep city!!!
  15. You can only get the 1.4 in the L&K and then only have the DSG with the diesel.
  16. I can assure you it's all worth the wait. Had mine 2 weeks tomorrow and loving it.
  17. Octavia is considerably more aerodynamic than a Yeti.
  18. Thanks for that Austerby. I also collected my 1.4tsi L&K last Tuesday but due to family life getting in the way I have done less than 100 miles so far all on local roads. Mine is replacing a 140bhp diesel but so far I have not noticed a lack of power although more revs are sometimes needed for 30-50 acceleration than the diesel. My last petrol engined car was a 2.7ltr flat 6 so slightly different to a 1.4 turbo. Very impressed still with the smoothness and lack of engine noise.
  19. Cocked that one up with mine then for cost and weight. I added a spare wheel, towbar, leccy seats, extra speakers, rear mud flaps, luggage net system and last but not least, heated washers.
  20. Just been out to check and mine is the same. Black plastic cover to what I presume is the airbox at the front but no main cover and no logo.
  21. Quite impressed with mine too although only done about 70 miles so far. I totally ignored the maxidot change information on my previous Yeti as it was way wrong.
