  1. Where are you based? You may find someone local to scan it for you.
  2. Its cause the fuel tank is on oneside, causing it to sit lower.
  3. Loads on ebay, just bought a second hand one for 18 with delivery. Does sound like youve been sent an estate version though
  4. Also i didnt bother with rear as i had some relativly new ones when i got my coilovers, depends on how long yours have been on. You may also want to look at droplinks, botom ball joints and track rod ends? If your budget can allow even look at polybush kit.
  5. I got same ones from same seller, quick delivery, my mate fitted em other week and now i have no more knocks or bangs its like having a new car! Its great.
  6. I think youve also got to consider that were all fitting these coilovers to 10yr old plus cars. Has any one replaced the other suspension parts at same time as your just putting extra stress on old parts. Ive just replaced top mounts & bearings, track rod ends, bottom ball joints and a polybush kit, the ride is so much better all the weird knocks, creaks and groans have all gone, so its prob worth considering adding these into changes as well!
  7. Not really done much worth takiig pictures of but the car is now fully polybushed, had new ball joints, new track rod ends and new top mounts. Drives like a new car, ive still got to get tracking done and then i need to get my braided brake lines fitted. I got fed up of leaky door carriers so sealed them up:
  8. Car drives miles better now its had all new parts fitted!
  9. Ive got AP's fitted to mine, they were miles better than the joms i had originally.
  10. Im about to have polybushes fitted tomorow so i will let you know.
  11. I prefer it smoother looking and with it being such a mess underneath i wouldnt want to trap water inside it. Doesnt matter at moment cant see it under dirt anyway haha
  12. Yeah i went ott but they were ****ing me off, could see water staining runing down in a few different places and some of the rivits were loose. Atleast i wont have to worry about it now!
  13. Plumbers gold gets my vote, done mine this weekend:
  14. Mines done same, gone down to primer in places, ive just left it for moment as i cant afford to get it painted
  15. Hello all, ive got a mk1 Fabia VRS but i need a little help with my friends mk5 ibiza which is pratically same as a fabia underneath, he has occasional loss of power steering. He reckons its tempurature/moisture related as happens when its around 3 degrees or been raining, im not sure on his diagnosis. Seat have suposidly scanned it and told him he needs a new pump fitting at about £1000 which he doesnt want to do straight away as its alot of money. Ive scanned it and got the following codes: 01288 - Terminal 30; Steering Assist: Signal too High 01290 - Reference Voltage Steering Assist: Short to Ground So im going to look at the measuing blocks on mine although mines a fabia mk1 and then compare it to his, but i think its either steering angle sensor or a wiring issue. Anyone got any other ideas or what i should check? Many thanks

  17. Remember to loosen the grub screw though before you adjust anything
  18. I would probably have kept my Focus Rs! Miss the car dont miss the insurance, fuel and tax costs though!
  19. Ive just been on a mad spending spree to stop the knocking on mine and tighten it up a bit so got: Ball joints, Front top mounts & bearings Track rod ends Poly bush: front anti roll bar, front wishbone and the rear kit. Ive already got poly bushed console bushes and fitted new drop links a few months ago. Hope it improves the feel of the car and rids it of the knocking! Is it worth buying new track rod bars as well?
  20. Hi, yeah you can, you can buy the kits from ebay and then you need vcds to turn it on. The kit normally includes a full stalk and a wire that you need to run from fuse box to battery i think.
  21. You would remove your old lights, take the motors off your old units clip them back onto the new units and refit. Practically plug and play. You dont need to remove bumper, you can just loosen it off as a bolt is below the bumper. Give yourself a couple hours to do it.
