  1. Apparently all this stuff is even cheaper if you don't have a child!!!! You can keep all your toy cars like subarus as well.

  3. Definitely a wise idea. 3 Series quite bland. id happily forgo a bit of refinement.
  4. My aversion now is anything sold out to the chinese.I try my best to avoid stuff made there, and I don't do a bad job. Depending on how much of a rush I'm in, I will go out of my way to avoid. But yeah, sell out to them and its a big no no. Just like I was looking at a new provider for my mobile phone until the Europeans did us a big favour. The Volvos do look good though, and I would probably like them if I tried them, as they are still pretty much a Swedish design and build.
  5. I like the fact the Amundsen Sat nav is simple to use, but its inability to reroute you when you clearly don't want to follow the given route is stupid. Arriving at your destination and it is still telling you to do a u turn and go back to where you deviated. But then other times it works it out ok. Glad the Volvo is proving a better car on the whole. I wouldn't touch them purely because they sold out to the chinese. Not that I have anything against china. Yeah right!!!!!
  6. Strange. The high mileage must really be putting them off.
  7. Just seen this. So another of us bites the dust!! Well not literally of course. I'm feeling the odd one out as still have the Octy, and as yet no major problems. As long as it puts in the trouble free miles, and no sign of that stopping. Seats may not be the most comfortable, but they are hard wearing. Be time for her first MOT in half a year. Good luck with the Volvo Timo.
  8. 1- All I'm doing is adjusting a number plate to reflect the true figures. Hardly a case of sour grapes. 2- I have always said Scotland don't have a case for a new independance referendum as they have hardly been dragged out. Only Gibraltar voted overwhelmingly to stay. Saying that, there is no way we should be making such a big change on such a small percentage. It should require a larger mandate to leave. Not 38%. This isn't some small decision. 3- If these rules are good enough for the leave campaign (it was them who made it up), then surely it can be used the other way? If it is sour grapes, then strangely that applies to leavers and remainers. 4- I haven't said how I voted. I never voted remain. Am I leaver applying some common sense?
  9. Shouldnt that be UK38 OUT then? Considering thats the actual percentage that voted to leave.
  10. Another Billy!! Sure to keep a smile on your face during your drives!!!
  11. Only to find after the first downpour that Billy suffers from the same. Trapped waters!!!!I got my seals changed (ooo errr), and apart from a wet footwrll after a long period of being parked, I don't have water splashing out at all anymore. The wet footwell is a worry though. What caused it if there is no longer a problem with the seals.
  12. Coincidentally I have just had to have front assist radar moved back into place and recalibrated. Local Skoda dealer did it all in house. £147. Yikes!!
  13. If he had her details yes, but without them your premiums will be bumped up
  14. Your insurance company will load up your next premium even if they agree you don't lose your no claims. You have to divulge any claims to other insurance companies whether your fault or not. For 350 quid it isn't worth it. Remember he doesn't seem to have other woman's details. It would take ages to get your insurance company to agree to cover this as a no fault claim.
  15. Not good mate, not good. Hope you get it sorted soon. Few extra days overtime on the 456s to pay for it!! How's things anyway? Oh and we all do silly things. I've sat on my glasses more than once!
  16. Rain and cold weather also kills economy on my car.
  17. Doesnt look like it. My car has changed to BST, and still got the graduated grey bar. ie not solid.
  18. If its the pressure pulses you are experiencing, then the dealer is talking absolute bull. I would hazard a guess the dealer is well aware of the problem but is unsure of how to sort the problem. In fact, im not sure there are any definite fixes which have fixed everyones car. Certainly try the adjustments to the boot lid, but I believe some have found it hasnt sorted their car. Sorts some, but not others. Keep on at the dealer, and tell them they are talking bull. Fix or reject. Oh, and good luck
  19. Probably something to do with the fact car forums would usually attract the car fanatics, and they are more likely to go for the car that is that bit more a driver's car.
  20. Just saying everyday driving in normal conditions doesn't require it. It doesn't. Unless wanting a slightly quicker getaway or spirited driving, or to help out in bad winters in hilly out of the way areas. I won't be going for all wheel drive as i have never been in a situation where I needed it that wasn't caused by my stupidity. I can accelerate quickly enough, have only once got the wheels spinning, and can drive in enough of a spirited fashion for me. My everyday driving really doesn't need it. With that in mind I shall save my money and put it towards a Jaaaaag!!!!
  21. Well in that case then it maybe worth it.
  22. Hence why I said the hthink about it. He obviously doesn't have 4x4 as a must have, so I wasn't trying to persuade him against something he was definitely wanting. Likewise, your comment could be aimed at those advertising 4x4.
  23. You say the car will mainly potter about on your commute? In that case I'd seriously ask whether 4x4 is needed. But it depends whether you live in a hilly area that could get quite a bit of ice and snow. I have no need for a 4x4 on everyday driving. Of course if you want to take it to a track and start racing then perhaps. Seriously think about it Because everyday driving should not need 4x4 unless adamant you must overtake the car in front of you on the slip road.
  24. My car feels better approaching those speeds than it does at 70 and that's just an Elegance. Either the wind or something to check on your car. I was amazed how nice my car felt when over the ton.
