  1. What you didn't know it when you bought the 7 speed DQ381 in you vRS245?
  2. Yep booked mine in for end of August as my Skoda Service Centre are saying only age & not mileage however, they did surprise me. Apparently, the 7 speed wet DSG service mileage is 80k miles & not 40k miles like the 6 speed wet box
  3. The latest version of TOOTLE then
  4. Oh yeah, long, long ago actually in the 90's I was worked in Energy Management when people were honest & admitted they just wanted to save money & didn't give it all this ecology BS. Glad to hear you & yours are all well & safe
  5. I drive for smiles not miles Shy, you know that🤣🤣🤣
  6. @Gerrycan hi & how are you doing ? Have you seen how well I'm doing with the vRS fuelly
  7. You haven't met him, I have & I know🤣🤣🤣
  8. Their standard discount offer is £50 a pair, then I get a further cashback so, its a fair deal if you're within fithy five quid of that
  9. How much ? I generally wait for the Costco deal, last months was £223.86 a pair of R19/235/35 incl. of discount & cashback
  10. Don't really matter what the "hook" valuation is, they'll knock it down about a grand (min) to 1500 at inspection
  11. @Alex-W I too ran my last pair of front PS4S's down a LONG way (mainly due to lack of supply from lockdown) & they were actually better in dry conditions i swear. BUT & yes its a big but, a torrential downpour morning really reminded me why dispersion of surface water is so important, I didn't need coffee to wake me up that morning I can tell you @roaddetective 1. You can have 235's on 1 axel & 225's on the other 2. Don't go the 235's route on 18" wheels as cost is prohibitively expensive whereas, the opposite is true on 19" 3. As an advanced/defensive driver trainer I'd expect you to know, new tyres should be fitted to the rear axel of a FWD car. Rear-end or liftoff oversteer is an absolute biatch to control unless exceptional well trained & generally, you're expecting it as you're pushing the car so hard, you've gotta expect it. 4. Not entirely sure what development has gone in it the As5's but, the AS3 was a great tyre until, you tuned the car, had more than one personal friend love the AS3 then tuned their car & hated the AS3 from then on. As I say I don't know whether the AS5 has got around this issue as all the tyre reviews I've seen are on stock cars I run the PS4S's in 235 width on a Revo stage 1 tuned 245vRS & the outright performance of those tyres is staggering & is actually more impressive in the WET tread provide.
  12. Hmmm I've got the SuperSkoda Monte Carlo (all metallic black) front & rear badges, they've been on the car for very nearly 3 years & still look brand new. So yes expensive but, the quality is worth the price
  13. Somewhere in the boot under the liner you'll find the spec sticker for the car, loads of codes that you can check & see the complete optional extras of the original factory build. I'd be surprised if heated leather seats in a 64 plate DIDN'T also have the heated washer nozzles and windscreen
  14. I was talking socially with the No.2 at one of the largest Lookers Group's Audi showrooms here in Farnborough Hants just before the lock down. He was quite open than they needed to make 1500 quid on the sale of a car & 1500 quid on the purchase of the trade-in so, yeah 3 grand a car. Sounds like a lot, Hmmmm maybe not, say to round the numbers its a 30 grand car I buy new cars, run them for 3 years on a PCP & hand them back, i expect to pay 15 grand total or 5 grand per year Sounds like you buy a 3 year old car run it for 4 years & sell it & buy another, probably lose 7-1/2 grand in depreciation & 3 grand buying selling again or 10-1/2 total or £2,625 per year My dad told me when I was younger, if its tyres or tits, its gonna cost you GLWS of your car, i've tried it before & its not me
  15. Hmmm just got to 30k miles but already had my 3rd service, might have to take a look at this. However, I exercise my diff frequently 😉 & it does seem still to be working
  16. On the back edge of the connector there's a little locking clip you need to undo, its the same on the DTUK connector so have a look at that 1st
  17. Sorry guys, this isn't gonna happen any time soon 1. Groups of 6 maximum 2. The landlord has just signed a new lease so, needs to be cautious 3. The village is full of busy bodies reporting anybody breaking Government advice 4. Lummies (the bikers cafe) has had multiple police visits We can meet in Supermarket carpark, buy sandwiches & beer from the supermarket & generally act like teenagers TBH though, thats not my kinda thing
  18. 4th gear pull, does tend to bring the horses out
  19. The West Meon Hut meet #85 A Tuesday to be confirmed but we believe, it could be very soon & yes I've checked & the pub is in a position to open as soon as the Government allow 7pm onwards but, some do rock up early. The place does a range of cheap'n'cheerful food & drinks, its not a dive but, don't expect a classy joint either what is does have is some quick, interesting sections of road & a large carpark. All Skoda & Non-Skoda drivers welcome, partners & children welcome although, being a Car Club it may not be very interesting for them. I'll keep tagging previous attendees to ensure everyone is as well informed as can be although, please pm me to be removed from the list should it become a PITA http://www.westmeonpub.co.uk/ https://www.google.c...82abeebd26a1535 @timyates1989, @Xavier, @Newport91, @JerryT, @shanemeh, @andy68, @64033, @Leeboy, @dsj20v, @skodanorman, @jonbmx900, @mattsv, @JoseDB, @jcarr162000, @ZubSub, @K155BMR, @zouche, @Chris6663, @Toxicvrs, @LiamONeill, @mycoolbeard, @J45ON, @gary80, @Famous_Afro_Jay, @Bowders1, @TeflonTom, @peterhaskew, @carrera85, @146matty, @JackClap, @vrsjub, @pierst1, @fex, @solite, @jjc, @fatwomble, @kennyd32, @High4, @Mike18Clark, @Gambo, @Evans octy no:67/100, @Dave And Lolli, @Horsee, @andras.orban, @octyjosh, @lemonvrs, @Leee, @Carl Monte, @PompeyKev, @pikachu24, @V8 Dave, @Lee01, @Hyphons, @stuartvrs, @Yoss, @tamiyaandy, @hardcorehobbit, @andsoutham, @Tomote, @mk4gtiturbo, @Mustafa, @austenw90, @sigarland1987, @BJB540, @Thorpe76, @VladSoilerOfCarpets, @bullawayo, @Octy 4x4t, @Lingnoi, @Lkim13, @AndrewE, @bspman, @Chelseacraig, @jars, @flashman, @Cydermonkey, @AJ7788, @gjgrst, @JGrindel, @MissPiggy, @Hedge, @jronnquist, @CHRIS ELLIS, @Updown789, @stubunce, @@lexc, @mase101, @Chris245, @Robsskoda

  21. Search "gear selector park" I can't remember the full story but, quite a few have had this
  22. All the VAG vehicles from 2014 onwards have the same throttle connector
  23. Is it an OEM adaptor? My OEM works perfectly Try not being so cheap Will🤣🤣🤣
  24. Hi All, Turning into a bit of a tradition now. I'm hoping to organise a rolling road day in 16th NOVEMBER at JKM, Portsmouth. As before, if i get 10 people interested then i will approach JKM and hopefully get the day booked in. The usual format is 3 back to back runs with a print out at the end. The rollers at JKM are 2WD only, I expect the majority of cars attending will be FWD but for those with RWD cars, put your name on the list anyway and if we get enough people (usually 3+ will do) then JKM can turn the rollers round at the end of the day for us Its always a good day out and would be good to see you all there again, as well as some new faces! Cheers Start Time at 09:00am – Yard Gate open from 8.45am for parking (Please can we ask that vehicles are not parked in front of the solid blue gates next to our entrance or in front of any of our neighbouring businesses as they require constant access) £40 for 3 back to back runs - cash preferred on the day to speed payments up. Front Wheel Drive cars preferred on the cay though if we have sufficient demand we can turn the dyno around for rear wheel drive cars. Please make it clear when submitting a running order/ list if you have a Rear Wheel Drives car that you would like to run on the day. No Vans, expect VW Caddy size, No 4 wheel drive cars or Haldex 4 wheel drive The dyno has a small ramp which leads up to it. Any cars which are very low will not get on the dyno. Please check with us first if you are unsure. You will receive a colour print out of the best run. Free Tea/coffee/Biscuits will provided all day
