  1. I have no ''suspicius'' symptoms for gasket failure (for those which i read in relative articles) but i bought the Bromothymol Blue test, it will arrive in 2 days. Since i have no radiator cap i will use it in the expansion tank (in the place of it's own cap) and as i heard the car must be warm.
  2. Can be bought https://www.ebay.com/itm/301349314750 As for the sealant (dust) that i have used in the past looks like this it must be the culprit for those ''glitters''.
  3. OK i will but there are no premature indications about that damaged head gasket? A sign, something?
  4. Maybe he got what he was wishing for me and my Trusty. By the way he couldn't "silence" even his male roommate not even his pet. Can't we use from Fabia? SKODA FABIA VRS 5J front caliper
  5. If i had a head gadket issue the G12 wouldn't had a discoloration and the expnansion cap wouldn't be dirty?
  6. I have seen this in older mechanics sniffing the spark plugs for excessive gasoline presentance.
  7. A compression test? The cylinders must show an identical or at least similar indication if things are alright?
  8. I don't know what to say to my mechanic, how to do the ''BTB'' test? Is something like this? https://mycar.gr/product/kit-elegchou-diarrois-flantzas-kefalis-10ml-amio-1-tem/
  9. 2 piston brake calipers are too expensive: https://apracing.com/performance-upgrades/performance-brake-calipers/2-piston-calipers https://www.giefferacing.com/en/all-products/braking/brake-calipers/2-pistons-brake-calipers/cp6120-cp6121-cp6126/cp6120-2s0.ap-racing-2-piston-caliper-9035.html Ø282mm x 12.7mm solid disc https://www.gt2i.com/en/sport-brake-caliper/15135-ap-racing-2-piston-brake-caliper-disc-267mm-thickness-71mm-3661768824160.html Ø267mm Can't we use from Fabia? SKODA FABIA VRS 5J front caliper
  10. I will look for it, one other problem now is that i had to add some coolant, the pressure check few months ago didn't show any leaks and i didn't see anything yesterday. Maybe there is a ''sneaky'' leak from the cap (the expansion tank is VIKA).
  11. Garage in Greece = private parking. https://vb.containers.com.gr/images/230.jpg?crc=3990564924 We say it with french accent although the Americans pronounce is as ''ga-ra-che''. I appreciated the advise that you gave me about a thoroughly cleaning of the system but i couldn't do it so in next coolant change i will remove the expansion tank, clean it and let's see next time if there are any ''glitters'' left. The positive thing is that i found none of them stuck in the coolant sensor's base but i can not know if any of them left are inside the radiator.
  12. Yes i didn't remove therostat housing, water pump, radiator etc for a thoroughly cleaning. No time and mostly i needed at least 2 days in the repair-shop so this could meant a lot of money.
  13. Update: From a today's 20/1/2025 inspection also there are some ''glitters" on the left and right (upper) side of the tank but for sure not so much as the beginning. The only consolation in this case is that there are no ''glitters'' in the bottom of the expansion tank where is the hole that via a hose the coolant goes to the radiator.
  14. Here is a relative problem (low beam) https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/226260-2000-felicia-low-beam-lights-not-working/ remove gently the rubber cover of the lever and check the connections.
  15. Czechino answered: So, brake calipers from Ford Sierra Sedan 2.0 i DOHC Gasoline 115 PS ,year 1991 - 1993 am i right? and vented discs from Renault Clio like this? https://www.autodoc.co.uk/delphi/259664
  16. https://kitspares.co.uk/products/reconditioned-front-calipers-standard-sierra Pair of fully reconditioned Front Callipers Ford Sierra (Standard). To suit vented brake discs. (2400mm Discs) But here says 240, so Czechino which brake caliper installed? The list is long ! https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/spare-parts/ford/brake-calipers/sierra.html 😲
  17. Škoda Felicia VanPlus 1.3MPi Nürburgring Front brake Ford Sierra caliper and Clio williams 260mm disc, stock pads.
  18. I wouldn't say ''No'' to 256mm vented discs + 14" wheels + EBC yellow stuff pads. The problem (at least here in GR) is that you can not go to a brake shop and say to mechanic: "the brake calipers from the X brand model fit in Felicia, here are them plus the discs+pads, go install them". There is not a ''guide'' as ''how to" in the internet or a well-known patent which many drivers have done so almost everybody technician knows that works for sure.
  19. I don't have an amplifier in purpose, i don't like loud music while driving. I use radio or USB stick for songs only and in low volume. In Mountain Roads is Off because i want to hear the engine, the tyres, the brakes etc creating a more ''Sporty'' sense. The small tweeters are from NZ, something like these: The electrician said that there is enough space in that triangle so he cut it and install them. The help a lot in high notes (υψηλες νοτες) of the song.
  20. I don't know if anyone here takes the responsibility to do it but even the cost would be enormous. You can cover it with adhesive film or paint it. I let it as is not because it's a ton of work but i think matches with the same colour handle lever (although i paint the outside part of the handle).
  21. I bought my Trusty with electric windows (front) and later i paid for rear windows too, the round cap was to cover the mechanism plastic gears, together was a T shape handle to roll the window down or up in case that the power fails. The tweeters installed together with the speakers (fron and rear) by an I.C.E electrician, i am not a sound expert but they help a lot for quality sound. I don't remember the cost but i will try to find them if they exist now in the market. The rear astrays are ''glued'' and they don't open in purpose and the front is modified for switches (my patent with lof of work).
  22. You have to make a wiring test via multimeter.
  23. You mean is out a bit from it's position and there is no good contact in the pins? Few drops of glue for plastics can do the job.
