Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanNO. If you check the latest 20 years steering wheels have different shape and we are talking for small cars and of course supercars which can exceed 300+ Km speed. Pay attention that they have thumb rest position, they are not thin and oriented for better handling in turns. Here are few examples: Ford Ka KIA Picanto https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/G-cAAOSwZjxfUuex/s-l1600.webp Nissan Micra https://micra-forum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4690&d=1526333232 If you want a thin round steering wheel oriented to visibility here are few examples:

Temperature Gauge reading 20 Degrees C low
I have 3 coolant sensors with yellow ring, the 2 tested in the road and proved ****, with both of them i had higher coolant temperatures. Here is the 3rd, take a look, no marks on it, would you trust this garbage? Install a Blue with indications-part code on it and you will be fine.

Exhaust and lambda
The previous owner removed the lambda? installed an aftermarket exhaust with no lambda sensor hole? Even so how he drove that car so long? How it pas the MOt and what kind of performance had all these years? Nevertheless go to a well-known exhaust repair shop, they have the tools (drill, pipe tap etc) for this task, an example: https://akritidis-tools.gr/ergalia-esthitira-lanbda/718-kolaouzo-esthitira-lambda-4048769003456.html Pay attention for the parts code and buy the original.

Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThis is circus, not a proper steering wheel. I drove the Favorite Pickup in 1993-4 https://cdn.skoda-storyboard.com/2020/07/2_Favorit.jpg For sure @Thefeliciahacker would like that factory steering wheel.

I wish i could install C2 Corvette style instruments gauge.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanExcept the switch for the light (left) he made some modifications to the other switches (right side). Too much work and you have to know 100% what are you doing and how to fix it in case that something will go wrong after a while. I think is this https://autopecas.norsider.pt/en/en-instrument-cluster-volkswagen-polo-from-1994-1995-1996-1997-1998-1999-2000-5n0949860r-236443 Volkswagen Polo from 1994 to 2000

Beware the code in lambda sensor, double check. Trust the original. https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/503246-confusion-with-bosch-lambda-sensors/ https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/503246-confusion-with-bosch-lambda-sensors/?do=findComment&comment=5651422

Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanHere in GR they sold it back then as one of the extras, was in the Sport section together with suspensions, muffler etc. If i remember correct the price was about 80.000 drachmas or 235 € today.

Exhaust and lambda
You could clean it with a special spray for this task. It's an extremely crucial part and an after-market isn't the best choice.

Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanSo no Sprint filter. ______________________ It's the 3rd aftermarket wheel that i have, i have use to them all these years and i never liked the factory one. This is 320mm which means a little bit tougher to handle but it helps me a lot in the turns, has positions for thumbs and is not slippery. Those 2 grooves in ''10 to 2'' position are very helpful, sometimes in the highway i rest my middle fingers on them. I can reach normaly the two levers as in the factory, take a look the original is not flat, that after market cone is just to cover the space and i bought it many years ago ''for Felicia''. I don't push the horn often so the centre button is OK plus you can install another badge so it looks ''cool''.

Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanA bit ugly, not good for Sport driving, slippery, horn button with slack-squeek noise. Proper only for hitting it (nervous) in the centre in very tough traffic situations.

Doors scratched in my Felicia.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThe majority of body repaires use Bondo because they don't want to remove the panel or pull thwe door out (save time). 300 euros are ''killing me'' and it's not the first time.

Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanHere is how it looks today. I replaced the allen screws with inox Phillips screws, more tight and better looking. Maybe in the past i will search to find another cone like this one click longer. I think there was a Felicia edition with abjustable streering whell column, never saw one here in GR.

Universal Heater Control Valve Application Example
The @R_Blue has worked on this, you can see the mess, the new clamps etc. I grab the chance to show to any New member that will search that matter how difficult is to reach that item (the Heater Core) plus how difficult is to find original hoses. Non related could be a post about football, presidential elections, weather etc.

Steering wheel spacer in my Felicia
This is how my Felicia steering wheel looked like in the past. Actually had no airbag and the central console was a bit different. I had the factory steering wheel replaced with another after market, it ruined and i have change it and did it another time. The main problem was that every after market steering wheel was siting much lower than the factory one, you can see in the photo that the gauges are visible. Here is a patent that i have done in the past, the photos are not good quality but you can take an idea. I kept the cone from the previous steering wheel and the front part and kept it to use it as a spacer. You can see the old configuration of the dashboard and the central console. I worked in the holes to make them wider and i used the allen screws that the new steering wheel had in the package although i don't like them. I will show you with a proper photo the difference, of course it's not like the original but it's better than the previous steering wheel.

Universal Heater Control Valve Application Example
I have found an old photo from the hoses to the Heater Core. The only way to work properly on them is to remove the battery but since it's extremely difficult (probably impossible) to found 2 original hoses i don't even want to think for a HVAC repair.

Doors scratched in my Felicia.
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI have thought that solution in case that i will park in a not wide road, of course not so big panel (the 1/3 of it) and only for the side that is exposed to that narrow road. It's magnetic and secured with a cable but my brother said immediately: ''someone is going to cut the cable and steal it". I find it reasonable, when someone realises for what is for can cut the cable and when goes far away in his neighbourhood to have it for his own car. You may find this panel as funny, yes it is and may cause a lot of negative comments while the car is parked but think again the money that i have paid for door repairs.

Doors scratched in my Felicia.
It's not the first time, all of my 4 doors are scratched from reckless drivers while passing close by plus some b@stard teenagers (local and foreign) have cause dents in my roof and the hood hit them ''hammer-style". Since there are no witness and the scumbag didn't let a phone number (to make an arrangement) the insurance does not cover this. It's not the colour only, there is a bent on the door, I have to pay it and it's at least 300 euros (250 GBP) and 2 days without a car.

Skoda Felicia 1.3 # Water inside the car and in the Battery
@Joob Take a look an older photo from my Felicia, it's the left side, age-heat-water etc can cause some problems. Now the insulation has been replaced, i used sandpaper and primary for the oxidation in the base of the battery, the O cover where the cables come out has been repaired etc.

Skoda Felicia 1.3 # Water inside the car and in the Battery
Beneath the plastic cover there is a tray, there you can find a leaf, tree branch, pigeon wings, dog hairs etc. Photos from Google search, my car is parked far away from home i i can not go there to take pictures. If you remove that cover to clean the whole area you can find in the top the draining holes (left and right side), if you push the electricians wire tool (in GR is Atsalina) you can remove anything which stuck inside of them and if you open the door you will see then drop down from the door's pillar.
