Felica 1.3 - Something is 'on' but ignition is off!
Something relative but not the same, 2 times i the oast i had a continuous noise ("tzzzzz") from engine bay even when the car was off and the key removed. I could hear it while i was sitting inside, he made me mad because i couldn't let it like this all night. What it was? From the car alarm a plug from it's ground, due to moisture was a bit wet and was causing that cicada noise in it's contact. Did the previous owner had installed a device like GPS Tracking?

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanOne of the first post that i read about Koni Rebuild work at 2006, one of the most respected members in an auto-forum, more that 30+ years in repairs-modifications etc itself and knowledge of many brands-quality of parts etc. "As the Judge (nickname) said, send them to KONI, we buy KONI for 2 reasons, they are very good and repairable, don't think about it at all, the cost is several times less than buying new ones."

Skoda Felicia goes to Russia (Siberia)
(Translated) IT IS HERE! The campaign was a success, and after a month of modifications to the car, we are leaving for the coldest permanently inhabited place in the world. To the Yakut region in Siberia - to Ojmjakon! This is the only video that has been released yet, the rest of this life journey will begin to be released after our return, in May at the earliest. Fingers crossed, we'll need it. About the Ojmjakon. https://weather.com/travel/news/breathtaking-photos-coldest-city-world-20140128 https://irishweatheronline.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/ojmkjakon-the-worlds-coldest-village/ Best of luck guys ! 🙏

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThe GR road in an obsolate area in the country without lanes is this If you are a local guy and know that road extremely good then you can move a bit faster than normal, if you are not local guy and see that part of road you slow down. For sure a road like this it's not proper to test your new suspension-brakes-tyres, you must be careful all the time.

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanVery nice Mountain route but i wonder why the lines are _ _ _ (in GR means you can make an overtake) and not solid = which means you can not chane a lane. For example in 0:43 there is a turn with such marks but who would dare to make an onerturn there? In GR country road mainly is like this: Maybe you can find in an obsolete area a road like this https://images.greece.com/panoramio/07/23/06/57/5974c766a8e2f.jpg but it's wide and personally i would feel very unsecure to drive fast in a British country road like this: No lanes but mainly no good vision ahead.

Engine cover, do we really need it?
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI meant comparing to a chrome tube that some air intake systems use. Supposed that reflects the heat and gets cooler sooner.

Engine cover, do we really need it?
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanEvery time i want to oil the mechanism or clean the throttle body or clean the MAP i had to remove it (3 screws). The plastic absorbs heat from the engine and preserve it, it's not metal plus without it the area above the manifold could be more ''free'' for air circulation. I wish i could make the same.

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman57 here. In Mountain routes: eyes first on the road ahead, a glance at rpm and coolant indication and ears to the sounds of tyres (and in case to possible strange noise from gearbox-steering). No music in purpose (distraction).

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI saw that snaphot and i remembered your post, in the video didn't say which placed that road test was made. Fot sure. There is no fun for me to drive in dangerous roads, if in every corner there is a risk for another car to show up and both of us try to fit in a narrow space then it's a crash gamble. Same every day road, classic cars plus Kit-cars can use it. Even in a road like this which considered in GR as "very dangerous" i can drive a bit fast, if there are no lines or not enough space for two vehicles then NO.

D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanAston martin DB 12 test. To me looks dangerous, the road it's not wide no white lanes and trying to drive sport style (to test a suspension or tyres etc) for me would be a nightmare.

Engine cover, do we really need it?
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThe experiment was i tried to ''simulate' the factory hose and the Γ shape of the factory plastic cover (Yellow line) with a tube like this which is very flexible, and IF the experiment was successful i would replace it with something more robust as a silicone or plastic hose. After cut it in proper length, make the curb above the throttle and seal it in the bottom to be tight with the throttle body i slowly lowered the hood but there was a touch so i stopped. For sure i didn't want to lower the hood, squeeze the tube and let it like this, someone may say: yes that's the factory design look, at a spot it's a bit compressed but there is no comparison to a hard factory plastic and a squeezed cheap tube plus every time i was lifting the hood the look of that tube would be bad. So for now i will keep that plastic cover although i don't like it.

Engine cover, do we really need it?
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI hate that cover but i had to keep it. After all these years in the left side has a small gap and makes a noise (like something is uncliped) which makes me extremely nervous but i can not ''copy'' the factory desing whith something else.

Engine cover, do we really need it?
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI removed that plastic cover today, i had to make an experiment. This is the parts code in case that someone may needed in the future. I also noticed this prominence inside, i didn't want this to end-up inside the throttle so i remove it. More about the experiment (..which failed) soon.

Felicia fuel tank capacity and TC-6 measurements
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanNo problem @Papez , i mention this for informational purposes only, due to this ''uncorrection'' someone can show lower fuel consumption numbers (which is not my intention). 237,3 Km when the tank was full. Here is the current situation, Average % This is the Total Σ and for 42 ltr tank this is the remain kilometres, till the new correction the result is 11,1 ltr / 100 Km (or 25.45 British MPG) fuel consumption in hard City Traffic.

Felicia fuel tank capacity and TC-6 measurements
D.FYLAKTOS replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanI remember that @Papez said in other topic about the TC-6: I have the TC-6 for about 2 years and i have to disagree with that, not totally but in a specific point. In Total (with the symbol Σ) and in the remaining kilometres with the gasoline that it's left in the tank (with the symbol > 📳 ) there is a difference of 1 ltr from the reality. Although there is a calibration function and i have it in the maximum (its +7) but that difference can not be zeroed. Since the TC-6 works together with the factory float i don't know if that 1lt maximum difference is because after switching Off the car when parked the gasoline in the tank isn't immediately ''calm'' or the inclination of the ground (uphill-downhill) cause this. I will post photos soon as a proof.

What causes the engine not to start after airbag deployment? I was in an accident which deployed all of my airbags besides the steering wheel (2013 Honda Civic). https://www.quora.com/What-causes-the-engine-not-to-start-after-airbag-deployment-I-was-in-an-accident-which-deployed-all-of-my-airbags-besides-the-steering-wheel-2013-Honda-Civic I'm sorry to hear about your accident. After an airbag deployment, the engine not starting could be caused by a variety of factors. One possible reason is that the impact of the accident may have caused damage to the vehicle's electrical system or fuel system, preventing the engine from starting. It's also possible that the airbag deployment itself may have triggered a safety feature that disables the engine to prevent further damage. I would recommend having a qualified mechanic inspect your vehicle to determine the exact cause of the issue. This is normal for many systems. when you go to start your car normally as soon as you turn the key to on the pump runs for a second or so. Once you turn the key to start and the engine turns the pump comes on again and stays on as longs as the engine is turning. in an accident there is a possibility of a ruptured fuel line. Spilled fuel can lead to a fire. This is considered not good. So to prevent the possibility of pumping gas all over the place and risking a fire the system will shut off the pump and in some systems disable the ability to crank the engine.

I meant that some Skoda parts (as oil filter) fits to some older Ford models (i still have one, says Felicia and Mondeo i think on the label). First time i heard about the "similarity" in brakes was before 20+ years in a Brake repair shop. I wonder @ivcars003 has done any progress?

1) I also said that i haven't never read-heard for such switch plus i mention that in CZ i haven't find such thing. 2) You said that in an older post here plus i have found that some Skoda parts as engine oil filter-brake caliper in e-part stores have a Ford model refference on their cardboard box.
