Your unit model number is 6V0 035 869 H, the easiset way is to buy the same unit, dismantle the front panel with display from the back part (it's just couple of screws) and replace front panels between both units.

You have integrated unit (Swing) and what you linked as just a display unit for Bolero main unit. It wil lnot work with your current unit. Pls share your VIN to check what is the model number of your unit.

You old unit (6V0035871B) is a combination of main unit and display unit. What you bought (6V0919604B) is just a display unit. To have it working, you also need main unit and special harness to extend current one and connect new units. What is the reason for changing?

It depends on the BT module type you install.

The question is what do you mean by MIB2 and MIB2.5. My definition of MIB2.5 - Columbus 5650350xx units, with 9.2" display (touch buttons, no knobs). Yours in MIB2 Amundsen so you will need to chnage both glove box and display units.

Nope, as bluetooth is protected with FEC/SWaP code and unfortunately I don't know amyoe who can patch MIB1 Bolero. The solution is to replace with MIB2 as they can be patched. If you are interested pls contact me on PM.

There is no update for your unit, you already have the latest firmware.

@Gman1978 easy job - you have simplified Bolero model number 5Q0035820. The easiest way is to have it replaced with full version of Bolero, model number 5Q0035842x or 565035842, or, if you want OEM navigation as well, with Amundsen 5Q0035874x or 565035874 (x - any letter A, B or C). I can deliver any of mentioned above units in P&P version, if you are interested pls contact me on PM.

Unfortunately, I do confirm, I don't know anybody who can rework this unit and indeed, official activation is NOT possible. The only solution I know is to replace with MIB2 Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus.

It's determined by glove box unit coding, not by the screen itself, so you can go on

Pls post model number of your BT module and your phone.

Wiring - you miss a pair of cable for left channel between BT module and radio.

Have you burn new firmware onto CD or DVD?
