  1. To get SmartLink (Android Auto + MirrorLink + Apple CarPlay) you must have both glove box and display units exchanged. You can install one of four different glove box units: - MIB2 Bolero - MIB2 Amundsen - MIB2 Columbus - MIB2.5 Columbus You also need to replace display unit: - for MIB2 Bolero you can use either 6.5" model number 5E0919605H or 8" model number 5E0919605N - for MIB2 Amundsen and MIB2 Columbus you can use listed above display as well as 6.5" model number 5E0919605J, 8" model number 5E0919606, 8" model number 5E0919605M - for MIB2.5 Columbus the only display unit that works is 5E0919606D If you would like to have also support for Apple CarPlay or better phone charging (current up to 1.5A comparing to 0.5A) then USB must be replaced as well. The question is what is your budget and which of listed below features are "must have": 1. Video playback from DVD, USB, SD 2. CD playback 3. OEM navigation 4. displaying OEM maps na Virtual Cluster (Active Info Display).
  2. Use the left touch button from the first picture to open second window and select GPS to show satellites information.
  3. With th eunit in the pricture you posted you will NOT be able to have SmartLink activated by Skoda dealer and unfortunately I don;t know anyone who can have it patched. To get SmartLink you can replace your current Swing to patched Bolero.
  4. You can donate The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity
  5. If the pictures show unit you woul dlik eto install then component protection can by solved by Skoda dealer but even SKoda delaeer might not be able to activate SmartLink - pls share VIN of your car.
  6. The mani connector is QuadLock - the one with 52 pins, connected to original glove box unit. The ones that are in th emid console (4 pins white and 12 pins black) and not relevant for you as they are just for communication between original glove box unit and original display unit.
  7. Quite an old version, recommend yto update SW to 5238 when you get it
  8. Gas discharge bulb => xenons bulb D1S-12V35W
  9. 3T0035680K? This should be slightly older unit, version C12, still with HDD.
  10. Hold your horses. x is not for region but for version - the higher is better. 3T0035681x is also fine. I recommend the units on software 6270 or 6276 as these are so called C14 versions, with more powerful processor, more memory, SSD instead of HDD and more effective GPS chipset.
  11. Good news! In such case you will need Columbus RNS510 model number 3T0035686x (x - any letter). This is unit with DAB/DAB+ receiver, be careful NOT to buy any other model number (e.g. 3T0035680x, 3T0035681x) as they don't have DAB/DAB+ receiver. Instead of buying Columbus you can also get some MIB STD2 PQ unit, from Yeti FL, which will then give you more features, e.g. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and will allow you sell current BT module as these units have BT module integrated.
  12. Displays are NOT protected, just the glove box units.
  13. The plastic cover removal does not require any tools and then you shoul dsee BT module under it.
  14. Doesn't help too much. This is how it looks, it shoul dbe located under driver seat, inside additional plastic cover
  15. Both work the same way so it's really crucial to determine if you still have the original one under the seat.
  16. I know but RNS-315 can have BT built-in, contrary to RNS-510 in which BT is ALWAYS external module. So the question is what BT you use now and if you still have original BT in the car.
  17. What about BT module? Do you have VCDS. Vag Can Pro, OBD Eleven, or ODIS? If not, pls check if you have a module under driver's seat.
  18. Now it's OK: Originally your car was equipped with BT module 3C8 035 730 B ,do you know if this is still the case? Doe you RNS-315 unit received DAB/DAB+ radio stations?
  19. Wrong VIN, pls x-check
