  1. Well done! That is what I call good maintenance. Your car is happier now. How much did you pay for the lot?
  2. The most amazing part of this topic is the absence of ALL four ground electrodes. Initially I thought they were intentionally cut and filed. Something is not right... How many miles has that spark plug? Also, the exact spark plug type?
  3. It is the wrong starter for your car (old type). You should had bought the 1 kW one type. 6U0911023B.
  4. Is it you that installed that particular spark plug? or Did the car had a previous owner and you never touched the spark plugs?
  5. The reason I would go for scanning ECU for set errors is that there are many possible reasons. Far more that you have thought of. Read this since you have mentioned the smoke.
  6. Rest assured. I have nothing against somebody who is so obsessed of his car as if it is his girlfriend. A good psychiatrist would know how to schedule his anger management therapy.
  7. That doesn't go well with I call my Felicia ''Trusty'' 😍 because i trust her
  8. Just keep an eye on the level of coolant (antifreeze + distilled water). If it drops below minimum 'mysteriously' yet you don't see any leak, then there is a problem. Look for any strange color of exhaust gases.
  9. Not OK. It will be a nightmare to get it out from the coolant system. If nothing helps with overheating, then it might be possible to have a small crack in the head gasket. By the way, what is the temperature in Egypt now? Minimum and maximum.
  10. Well, that happens when you are using only distilled water. Corrosion. Will that affect the cylinder head and block? You bet. Here is a cylinder head that needed welding because it was so badly corroded.
  11. The correct thermoswitch is 82-87 for tropical countries. The thermostat has to be installed. 92-87 C. You have to use 50% antifreeze 50% distilled water. The radiator has to be in perfect condition. The cooling system has to be thoroughly flushed as you have already been told. Only if you apply ALL the above advice, you will get decent engine cooling. By the way, there is nothing strange in your issue. Read this reply too:
  12. I didn't ask about YOUR opinion. I specifically asked HIM. HE can answer for himself. I want to know what is HE thinking about running the engine without a thermostat.
  13. Based on what? What type of scanner did you use? I wonder why I would like to see if somebody will tell you exactly what is wrong just by looking at your video... Again, based on what?
  14. OK. So he has no idea how to modify the part to fit, right? If it's not genuine, he has no imagination how to make it look and function the same, right?
  15. I tried to but there are some well known trolls that from time to time stick their nose in topics just to stir trouble. Usually they have very low technical knowledge. On the other hand, I am quite attentive to details when I reply and I expect the same from those asking from help. For some reason, most topics only state the need for something specific without other information. Let's take this topic. The OP asks how to diagnose the rear fog lights because "it seems" the relay and the switch are fine. I realize that people don't know how to help us to help them. Maybe because they really don't know or because they are too lazy to write more. Here is what a really useful request for help should look like in my opinion: Do you see how much information we have now to work with? The relevant info about the car, the timing, tests done so far, level of knowledge and logistic. I am open only as king of Greece. I will live on a modest land. Let's say the whole Thassos
  16. What is the technical reason behind this decision?
  17. Not for now but keep an eye on it. Look for leaks on the pavement.
  18. What you call 'argumentative' I call debate based on facts. Fell free to avoid any dialogue with me as I've had already told you in the past. Go join your fellow snowflakes and come back only when you'll be able to help those who really need it. I try to do my best for free on my own time in this section. My reputation on this forum stands proof to that.
  19. Your opinion is useless, based on your subjective level of understanding. You didn't bring any help to this topic. You only bring (again) seeds of quarrel. I know very well who you are and whose opinions you share. That is what I'm talking about. We don't have full access to your car. Only you do. We only have input info from you. January 1998 was the first month of manufacturing Felicia MK2, which has big differences from MK1. Filling the type of engine in your profile data would help too. It might be for you. But for me it's not because I worked with what the 'customer' gave me in his first post. Wrong year.
