2023 Karoq SEL trip meter reset?

Featured Replies

Hello all,im hoping someone may be able to help with this? We collected my wife's new SEL yesterday, and we cant seem to work out how to reset the trip meter after refuelling? It has the digital dashboard, unlike the analogue dash of her previous 2018 SEL.

It is also different to the digital dash on my 2021 Superb L&K,so wondered if anyone could shed any light on it? I notice that there isnt currently a trip meter showing on the dash, surely this is an option, and they havent deleted it?

Thanks in advance, hopefully its just me having a moment, and its a simple solution!

Ours is a 2020 Sportline and has a reset button where the steering wheel meets the bottom of the dash; that make sense? From my eyeline in the drivers seat it’s not very obvious. If I knew how to post photos I would do.

I'm afraid it's another example of "Why have a single button when half a dozen steps in the infotainment system will be better, won't it?".  The process is:-

CAR

Settings - scroll down to

Instrument Cluster - scroll down to

Rest trip recorder in instrument display - confirm

The trip meter is often over-laid in the virtual cockpit by rear seat belt warnings or cruise control/ speed limiter display. When it is displayed it is on the same level as the main odometer but on the left hand side.

I found this on You Tube which shows an alternate method using the steering wheel controls ...

Trip Reset

I also found this one useful for customising what is displayed. You can have G-meters, altitude, range, consumption, etc.

Virtual Cockpit

You can learn more from YouTube than you can from the manual.

There is likely no need to use the trip at all. If your car is like mine, just go into the vehicle parameters . You should easily find fuel consumption figures. There are 3 pages to scroll between, long term consumption, consumption since start and consumption since refuel. The latter page auto zeros when you fill up.

But there is a single button, or at least there is in our 2020 model

The trip reset button is no longer present with the virtual cockpit. They call it "progress"! 😃
