  1. I've been looking at replacing the Kodiaq with a Jag F-Pace but the reliability issues and pricing make me lose interest.
  2. That one enables Travel Assist (lane centering at all speeds).
  3. Ventilated seats for the Kodiaq RS weren't available when I ordered but I would've paid every dollar for them. As I deferred my order to get MY20 options (Ignite wheels, direct TPMS and acoustic glazing), the dealership never told me the previously standard family pack cost $340 which I would've ticked.
  4. Since MY20 there is no way to disable it via coding - this is your next best option: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003368450925.html
  5. All you can do is go between the standard and Sportline/RS look, and change the ambient lighting colours via VCDS. Not sure if that's locked down on MIB3 cars though.
  6. For sure there are plenty of horror stories that happen far too often but there's no SUV that's packaged as well as a 5-seater Kodiaq for leg room and boot size that's a similar overall size, but that's what happens when you go from transverse to longitudinal layouts. The F-Pace boot is the same size as the 5-seater Kodiaq (width & depth) but the rear legroom is closer to a Scala than a 5-seater Kodiaq/Superb. Q7 obviously too big and the X5/GLE don't tickle my fancy except from the obscenely-expensive GLE 53
  7. I have always thought the Tiguan interior has been pretty naff with slightly worse materials compared to the far more upmarket-looking Kodiaq interior. But with all the cost cutting and removals of Simply Clever features, I don't see the point. Annoyingly there's basically no other car on the market that suits my needs apart from the Jag F-Pace which is almost 2x what I paid for my RS with the spec I want.
  8. Yeah disagree here. The new RS TSI has a driving experience far closer to a 220PS Tiguan than a Tiguan R, aka not bad but not bee-sting quick. Too much weight and high CoG for 370nm to be impressive- the TDI obviously doesn't rev out but it's damn effortless to get up to speed without going past 3k rpm.
  9. Yeah the DQ500 tune on the RS TDI is far more snappy, surprisingly. But it seems to be all the DQ381s seem to be a bit lazy out the box, even my Golf R 7.5 DSG feels like it's asleep in manual mode. The RS TSI needs a ECU + DSG tune to unlock the torque missing from the factory tune. Once that's sorted then the RS TDI won't be as missed.
  10. Yeah, the base Audi virtual cockpit is generally the 10.25" display with the 12.3" virtual cockpit plus being an option for MQB models. On MLB models (A4/A6 etc) you get analogue dials with a screen in the middle, then virtual cockpit plus. Only the Touareg gets the 12.3" digital instrument cluster in the 'lesser' brands.
  11. Yeah, the VW group are replacing the analogue dials with an 8" screen. On the Skoda side of things the Karoq was the first to use it.
  12. https://roofcarriersystems.com.au/product/konig-k-summit-k-summit-xl-snow-chains/ Konig is owned by Thule and their configurator shows this as compatible so I would look at that as an option even if ŠKODA doesn’t explicitly state 18/19” wheels as compatible.
  13. Skoda's name for the automatic boot kick release is virtual pedal as below.
  14. Hmm, I've had a look and can't find them. I'll ask the dealer if they have part numbers as I'm dropping my car off tomorrow. Not as far as I'm aware - it's two thinner sheets of glass sandwiching a PVB membrane.
  15. Retrofitting acoustic glazing is an option. Night and day difference between my Superb without and Kodiaq with.
  16. I get 33mpg combined and easily 40 at motorway speeds (65mph). I'm in NZ tho so it's never terribly cold apart from morning work commutes in Winter.
  17. Yep MIB3 cars have support - for whatever reason the Audi MHS2 system (B9 A4 etc) had support since 2016 or something...
  18. Earlier 2.0 TSI/TDI 4x4 Kodiaqs did until MY19 (introduction of 190PS TSI)
  19. Hmm...don't like going into unchartered territory. I'll have to see how much the airbag costs - the wheel is cheap enough so I might just do wheel + stock clockspring and see if that works then get heating to work at some other time.
  20. Would the current modules etc even know that though? I thought it would just use the pre-existing system.
  21. Isn't it the actual electric steering rack that waits for an input from the driver to determine driver attention for Lane Assist? Shouldn't matter.
  22. Hey guys, Has anyone managed to retrofit the new steering wheel to a car with the old one? My car is a MY18 without a heated steering wheel - so from what I understand, I need the following Steering wheel 5E3 419 093 AH (heated) or AD (non-heated) Steering wheel control module 5Q0 953 549 B Airbag 5E3 880 201 K IZY Wiring adapter - I see Kufatec do one My main question is am I able to get a heated steering wheel now and use it with my current steering wheel control module (no heating obviously) for now without any faults? I assume some coding will be needed but no biggie.
  23. I’ve used a pressure washer to my Kopacek badges for over a year with no issues.
  24. If your car has the in-door puddle lamps that project SKODA on the ground, then you may be able to splice the wiring for reflector lighting.
