  1. Sounds like a dealer issue and not a car issue. Go elsewhere for aftersales…
  2. I only got mine because my old 190PS was too slow...
  3. Hey there, without getting into much personal details, were you the person mentioning Trailer Assist to the guys at Ebbett Skoda the other day? I was in the Superb and overheard... If that was you, message me and I can get it coded for you as I've got VCDS. I enabled it on our last Kodiaq (Style 2017) - ours had the EMD/Best Bars OEM-spec towbar and I had to enable it myself.
  4. Well by the looks of the photo you shared to the local facebook group, it seems that you've hit the car at a 45deg angle if the only damage was to your headlights and the front of your fender. So there's not much chance that the emegency braking would've worked 100% as intended.
  5. My MY20 doesn't however I can't remember if my MY18 did.
  6. Hi all, I'm wanting to change the USB-A port in the centre console to a USB Type-C port as currently the only USB-A cable that I have in the car is for CarPlay and I want to just switch over fully to USB-C. Does anyone have part numbers for the port? Can't find it on carprog2. Cheers
  7. Four zones per headlight (i.e. per side) that turn off and fade back on with a ‘cinema screen’ animation for theatrics. When I eventually get a Kodiaq RS to test then I’ll get a better video of how it works.
  8. Dynamic cornering assist? Not sure what that feature is. If you're asking about VW's LED Dynamic Light Assist vs the 'basic' Skoda LED Matrix that's in the Superb and Kodiaq, it's because there's only four fixed high beam zones. With the Golf (and other VWs with DLA), it uses a swivelling light unit with a dome shape light pattern and shutters to 'blank' the high beam, in my opinion a more variable light output. On our windy NZ roads, when following cars at night, the smoothness of the beam physically moving instead of just turning off a zone is nicer than constantly seeing the Matrix system turn large zones off and on again. And the outer Matrix zones don't extend as far to the sides as when the high beam on my Golf are fully swivelled. Both have their advantages and disadvantages - DLA is more complicated due to moving parts but works smoother, Matrix has better upper corner vision due to the beam pattern but depending on how many zones there are it might not work as smoothly when blanking the high beam. If I did night driving on mainly stright roads then I would probably prefer LED Matrix but if we're comparing VW to Skoda then I'd take the VW any day. I haven't driven the facelift Kodiaq (RS isn't here yet, no point me testing anything else) bur judging by this video, it looks to function the same as the Superb - aka definitely better than without but far from impressive. Skoda is always behind on lighting tech compared to VW as per @linni's comment. The new Octavia is an improvement, on par with the Audi B9 A4's Matrix system. Superb Matrix.mp4
  9. I’ve just bought a Golf 7.5R with dynamic light assist and I honestly prefer it to the Superb and Kodiaq’s matrix headlights.
  10. If you have a facelift Kodiaq with LED Matrix headlights then yes.
  11. If you scrolled down you'd have seen this note...still contradictory to what's on the top of the page. But it's not hard to scroll down a page for two seconds.
  12. Just think of it as expensive centre caps that come with free wheels attached 😂
  13. http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/Wheels/20´-wheel-set-IGNITE-anthracite-original-Skoda-Autoas Should join the club...
  14. Let us know how they wear over time. They seem to have a short lifespan compared to the Pirellis that also come ex factory.
  15. The 190hp TDI used to but with the new engines (190hp TSI, 200hp TDI) those moved to the DQ381. Only the Kodiaq RS TDI kept the DQ500.
  16. The part number for the underguard looks like 5QF 825 902 C, if it's the part that number 6 references:
  17. Bought myself a 2017 (MY18) Superb Sportline 280PS - no additional options from the high NZ spec. Only things that the car is missing are sunroof, heated windscreen and steering wheel (heated steering wheel not available that model year in NZ).
  18. My old B6 Passat on the PQ platform didn't, but all my MQB cars keep the brake lights on when auto hold is engaged.
  19. Not on mine Not in my experience - only on manual parking brake cars
  20. Yeah it’s an option available in other markets. They’re physically wider, not sure if that’s got to do with why direct TPMS is bundled with it.
  21. Unless it's specifically optioned on the car, or was ordered with the 20" Ignite alloys (MY21 onwards) then it will 99% be indirect tyre pressure monitoring.
  22. Around town with one person the small engines definitely give better fuel economy while having perfectly fine pickup, but with any reasonable load especially at higher speeds the 2.0 TSI feels more secure and effortless while not having nearly as much of an economy deficit as one may think.
