  1. @simonharper as you mention that it doesn't happen when applying brake pressure, 99% it'll be the pads.
  2. @simonharper the image I posted is the anti rattle clip used on the Golf R for the brake pads which are supposedly interchangable with the Skoda 340mm calipers. But as the Kodiaq doesn't have the mounting point for the anti rattle clip (different casting), this causes some play in the shims on the side.
  3. Most brake pads designed for the VW 340mm brake setup are made for the Golf R which has an anti rattle spring The calipers that Skoda use don’t have this and cannot fit them thus a lot of aftermarket pads not having shims that fit quite right.
  4. This sounds like you have tried to use the central button after your partner locked the car? If you could use the central button after locking the car, it would defeat the whole purpose of the SAFELOCK system. Get your partner to not lock the car from the outside while you lock the car from the central button.
  5. Why don't you just lock the car yourself using the interior button instead of your partner using the key? It sounds like your car has the safelock system which is essentially a deadlock - this automatically engages when locking the car from the outside. If you read the manual, it literally says "DANGER - Danger to life! There must be no persons in a locked vehicle with the SAFE function activated." You can disable the deadlock by pressing the lock button twice within two seconds. The warning light in the driver's door will flash for about 2 seconds in quick succession after the vehicle is locked, then it goes out and after 30 seconds it flashes regularly at longer intervals. 6. People like the on/off icon being the correct orientation 🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. Very odd threads posted by this person, not sure if they're a troll or just genuinely clueless
  8. That was an NZ-spec Octavia Mk4 RS...this is an Australian spec one:
  9. Just on a side note...the turbo is between the engine block and the firewall...uncovered...
  10. It's fine but you're not going to get any performance improvement.
  11. The Pretorias used on a Golf R are with a 235/35R19 tyre - definitely more sidewall if fitting to a Superb.
  12. I turned off the suggestion stuff here in Settings>Maps>Siri & Search
  13. Belkin Boostcharge is what I use but definitely not paying Apple store pricing for them...
  14. Do you know how a turbocharger works? A turbocharger forces more air into the engine - and with more air, you can add more fuel to gain more power. This additional air the turbocharger provides is called boost. In the case of the Octavia RS, you get the power (and fuel use) of a non-turbocharged 6 cylinder when in boost, and the economy of a non-turbocharged 4 cylinder when not in boost. Not an exact science, but that's the gist of things. Peak torque of the Octavia RS is around 2000rpm, so you're almost always in boost when accelerating, and it sounds like you're doing a fair chunk of town driving. You'll see that consumption is really low at highway cruising speeds but if you're constantly going from 0 to 50-60kph then you're going to be using a fair amount of fuel. Sounds like you should've gotten a normal Octavia and not an RS...
  15. The Octavia Sportline has available Vega "aero" rims which should give you some sort of idea of what Vegas look like on an octy
  16. They try mosey their way out by saying it's been clearly abused due to being launched x amount of times.
  17. Pressing the set button will decrease by 1mph as well.
  18. I don't see a reason for this to change unfortunately. The days of the BiTDI are long over for new production.
  19. No - do you want to bet that it won't share the top end non-R Tiguan driveline though?
  20. Tiguan R-Line will get a 265PS TSI engine which Skoda will use for an RS model
  21. Interested to see how the suspension is compared to Mk3 - hope it isn’t under damped (IMO - don’t get mad at me). Don’t care about the lower end powertrains only the 265hp motor - doubt it’ll be as good as the 280/272.
