  1. What a pathetic excuse, that's all I have to say.
  2. At 46 minutes the car will start to smoke and catch fire
  3. At least you can order a 5 seater unlike in the UK where there's only one or two spec levels that net you 5 seats only... Even more rear legroom than the 7 seater, too bad the variable boot floor is basically useless on the diesel RS because Skoda didn't put the battery deeper down the spare wheel well.
  4. Looks identical to my first Kodiaq!
  5. You’re forgetting the hunger for power us Kiwis have...we literally have the highest Audi RS sales per capita in the world.
  6. You used to be able to code the car to lock when closing the drivers door, however it’s obviously flawed if your passengers don’t get out before you. Not sure if it’s possible to code it to anything MY20+
  7. Yep so under the tyre goo (the cream colour stuff there’s a thick but slightly pliable silicon layer which is the ‘self-sealing’ stuff. Lost all pressure in a minute without using the tyre goo - with it I was able to drive 15min to the tyre shop to get the tyres replaced only losing 1psi.
  8. Can now report that it’s probably fine for nails but not an inch thick rock...that’s what the goo looks like in the tyre - without it I wouldn’t have been able to drive to the tyre shop.
  9. That’s how you can do it via alternative routes but from what I understand the dealers don’t do it that way, however as I said, your mileage may vary. You might as well talk to the dealer and see what they can do - I know that my dealer would just give a refund for the package instead of retrofitting it.
  10. You definitely should - I don’t think a dealer would want to retrofit it but ymmv.
  11. Oh right...seems weird for a driver assistance package not to have ACC!
  12. Does your car have a dedicated stalk for cruise control? If it does then it’s got ACC, otherwise if it’s on the indicator stalk it’s the normal cruise control system.
  13. Only way is paint protection film
  14. OEM mats here: http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/KODIAQ/Floor-mats-Carpets/ If you get rubber mats make sure to get the transmission tunnel mat
  15. In an official document about MY20 changes to the Skoda range they say they have put motion sensors in all KESSY keys. They never said anything specific about timing etc, so that's up to user evaluation really... Remember that you can disable KESSY by locking the car with the button on the key fob, then pressing the lock button on the car door handle within 5 seconds
  16. That’s what everyone that hasn’t used it says then once they get used to the added functionality...I was like that before getting my second Kodiaq
  17. Virtual Cockpit is a must for me, I'll never be buying a car without it. I like having the navigation map on it, and MIB3 cars like what you'd get doesn't lock you out of it when you start navigation via phone mirroring. I'm pretty sure you still can't show digital speed, range and consumption at the same time with the traditional dial setup so it's an instant no go for me. Unless Skoda did something like Audi or the Touareg with analogue dials with a bigger screen in the middle (as shown below) then I would upgrade if you would like to see more information at a glance instead of menu-hopping.
  18. I usually get 35.3 from my RS in mostly town driving...don't want to know what it'd be like if I had the new petrol one. Best I've seen on a road trip is about 41.
  19. Hey all, I've got a friend looking to order an Octavia RS and has anyone been able to code the soundaktor/sound actuator off via VCDS? A bit of a faff having to change the driving mode to individual every time starting the car.
  20. Lunacy is you thinking Skoda would put a steering wheel with paddles on a manual gearbox car. It doesn't seem like you've asked Skoda UK - doesn't it make some sense to ask them and not an owners forum? According to the parts catalogue - there are four available (at the factory) two spoke steering wheel derivatives: Multifunction (5E3 419 093 AA VKH) Multifunction w/ paddles (5E3 419 093 AB VKH) Multifunction w/ heating (5E3 419 093 AS VKH) Multifunction w/ heating & paddles (5E3 419 093 AT VKH) I see literally zero reason why Skoda would be doing what you're suggesting. I'm quite happy for you to prove me wrong on this.
  21. Says heated steering with paddles for DSG. I don't really get where you're getting the idea that manual transmission versions get paddles; perhaps they can clarify it by saying DSG-equipped models but again, I don't see anything stating manual vehicles getting steering wheel paddles. Can't get a 190 TDI with the manual gearbox. And seeing that you're looking at ordering a DSG model why does it even matter?
  22. Haven’t seen them on Skodas no, but all the recent Audis I’ve driven have had them (and no, I have no reason to think that they’ve been added aftermarket) and I’d like to get them for my cars.
  23. Anyone know the part number of these? Can't find the part number on any ETKA system:
  24. The update for the Kodiaq might not be available for the Superb then.
