  1. If they kept the diesel in the RS facelift and didn’t cost cut as much over the years I’d have ordered one as my final Skoda.
  2. Aux belt and water pump should be replaced every 120,000km/75,000mi
  3. What do you expect from a longitudinal mount drivetrain, especially one with a hybrid battery in the boot...
  4. Sounds like he wants to add a horizontal lightbar in the grille a la new Kodiaq
  5. New brake discs and pads all round. DBA T3x rotors + Xtreme Performance pads on the front and T2t rotors + Street Performance pads. Pedal feel is great, feeling more linear and firm. Definitely less initial bite but it’s not like they need to be warmed up.
  6. Volvo and Polestars now support Apple Maps which is great. I know a lot of people prefer Google Maps or Waze routing but I think Apple Maps looks 10x better than the rest when not navigating.
  7. Enable Travel Assist to enable adaptive lane guidance/assist.
  8. That rear quarter panel between the side and rear glass looks awful, but otherwise I like the exterior
  9. Not sure if they’d fit but the Kodiaq Sportline/RS seats are much more supportive than the Superb Sportline seats I found.
  10. I’m still yet to see a pic of them. Anyone have one?
  11. I'm a Goodyear convert - Have had a set of the Pilot Sport 4 (and Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 and Evo3) and I felt that it leans more on its sidewall on turn in than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 I have on now. It also added a bit more weight to the steering which definitely helped when I installed the rear sway bar. Too bad there are just about no Goodyear options for the Kodiaq - will have to either get another set of the Pirelli Scorpion Verdes or go to the trusty Hankook Ventus Evo3.
  12. Those icons on the top left (apart from the first car one) look like they'd be configurable. The return of physical dials and user configration vs the Octavia is well welcomed - things could have been far worse (look at VW).
  13. I said extra step just in case a pedant wants to say something along the lines of pressing a knob and turning it are two completely distinct actions 😂 “Smart” (more context driven) dial mode setting I wouldn’t be fussed about. What would be smart is for Skoda to put a programmable button on the steering wheel like Audi and Porsche…would negate a lot of the whining about dial modes etc. You can set it to cycle through drive modes or show the 360 camera on curb view in Audis which is nice!
  14. Pressing a knob and turning it to change the driving mode is literally adding one single step to the process. Not worth boiling the ocean over... Ignoring the posturing, the video released by Skoda shows the dials in action and is informative. Rather tongue in cheek with the speil about senses and haptics while making the Octavia's controls even more touch than the smart dials.
  15. The graphics on the 12.3" screens are a lot clearer than the 10.25" screens... The dials have a far bigger diameter.
  16. Looks to be the same as the Octavia’s. When you press the buttons a message shows on the virtual cockpit so to me not an issue. The only time I use the switch anyways was to turn them back on Auto after the dealer turns them off during a service anyways, so not something worth boiling the ocean over in my eyes
  17. I am pretty sure that the matrix headlights are using separate light control modules which can't be coded via VCDS/OBD11
  18. Looks great but the virtual cockpit not being fully covered by the instrument binnacle ****es me off for some reason
  19. Rejoice - physical climate! Weird though that now the Octavia is gonna be the odd one out.
  20. Pretty sure a couple people here have painted the hub.
  21. Swapped centre resonator with one from a Golf R: https://streamable.com/6knwd3 20230813-143819-0001.mp3 Not the best result - DSG shifts are too high pitched for my liking but otherwise it sounds like factory around town.
  22. Nice purchase - looks exactly like my first Kodiaq. Just about every box ticked apart from heated windscreen.
  23. 2021 cars onwards have directions show but not the map - here's an example on a Tiguan (look at the HUD). Not sure why they would've disappeared
  24. 20230807-194258.mp3 20230807-194005.m4a Got some audio clips from the engine bay…
