  1. There should be a letter stamped on the locking bolt key, so you need a new one with the same letter.
  2. Not that hard to work out. If you’ve got 4 grandkids and all their parafernalia you need a bigger car and 7 seats. If I didn’t I would have kept my Yeti, much better car than it’s replacement, the Karoq .
  3. Not just my opinion, he likes my Kodiaq better than his Karoq, and he’s going to upgrade to a Kodiaq next
  4. The official Yeti spare wheel is 195x60x16”. The one linked to above certainly doesn’t look to be that size ( and makes no mention of tyre size) and more like a skinny space saver which is not approved for use on a Yeti.
  5. Strange, my son has a Karoq Edition and there’s no signs of a much higher quality interior compared to my Kodiaq SEL.
  6. CarWow say you can get an SE 1.5 for £299 a month. Auto Express quote 1.5 SEL. £3k deposit, £3250 Skoda contribution, 44 payments £344.27
  7. If you think you could manage 48 months of the SE ‘s sparse equipment and lack of creature comforts ( lack of LED headlights put me right off). Don’t think it exactly deal if the century.
  8. Kenny R replied to MJ1's topic in Skoda Karoq
You didn’t unwittingly press the ( mute) LH scroll button on the steering wheel ?
  9. As above perfectly normal operation of DRL’s, not sure what cars your seeing with tail lights on during the day. Just leave the headlight switch on auto and if it’s dark enough to require tail lights, they’ll come on.
  10. This mod whilst it alters the throttle response it also changes the steering. I used to have my steering set to sport, and since mod normal feels like it did on sport, and sport now too heavy for me but could be what your looking for.
  11. I wouldn’t let the DSG put you off, the Kodiaq is the first DSG I’ve had and my next car would certainly have DSG, don’t think I could ever go back to a manual now. You can still get new Edition models from stock, but you can’t order from factory. I personally would go for another SEL, for me it has the right amount of tech/ creature comforts, and it hasn’t got the severe possibility of having leaky sunroof problems, or horrible slippy leather seats.
  12. With your apparent hate of modern car comforts/ technology, have you thought about a Dacia Duster or similar
  13. Don’t forget a 4x2 with proper tyres will easily outperform a 4x4 with the standard summer tyres on snow/ ice. Having 4x4 with summer tyres mean you’ll be able to spin 4 wheels, and the 4x4 on it own won’t help you stop either on snow/ ice it’s all down to having proper winter/ all season tyres fitted.
  14. I buy the Prestone screenwash concentrate from Costco when it’s on offer,( under a fiver for 5 L) and have used it in my Octavia, 2 Yetis and my current Kodiaq, never had it freeze or any other issues.
  15. Convenience indicators can be turned on or off in the infotainment menus. It sounds like yours is turned off.
  16. Hidden in the very small print of the brochure, Edition and Scout models only available from stock.
  17. Reminds me of when I was an apprentice, during night shifts if there wasn’t much work on, our foreman would drive his beetle into the workshop, fasten a sling to his tow bar and raise the car up using the workshop crane and quite happily attend to any jobs requiring done underneath.
  18. That’s really expensive, see post #15 in this thread dealer in Leeds fits proper high line camera for £280.
  19. Strange that Skoda seem to imply that you cannot fit a tow bar to these vehicles.
  20. Yeah, I know that, but it’s not like you have to hold down the button for ages as the OP suggests.
  21. It’s not like you have to press the button on the remote for that long?
  22. I admit the tow bar preparation Not available on the 7 seat versions of 2.0 TDI 150 4x4 is a bit ambiguous, but what it doesn’t say tow bar preparation Not available on the 7 seat versions of the 2.0 TDI 150 DSG 4x4. If you look further down the pricing and spec doc it is quite clear in the technical section which versions can’t tow.
