No telly or dvd on brand new columbus
Warkman replied to Alexc3441's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
As far as I am aware, only the Superb came with TV as standard, all other Columbus upgrades don't come with it. -
7 weeks of ownership - not for me
Warkman replied to oasisphonic's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
As you can see in this brochure the 4X4 option is available on the standard Octavia estate manuals from SE onwards. If you want a DSG 4X4 that's only available in Scout form https://tools.skoda.co.uk/content/brochure/brochure_octavia.pdf -

It's a cheaper price to pay than to tool up two different platforms, complexity of builds and stick holding -

That's because of the option of the Four wheel drive manual versions -

By the sounds of it, you were unhappy from day one as you were annoyed to get a 15MY car instead of a 16MY. Looks like ownership was doomed from then on I can say after 7 weeks if my 16MY SE-L I'm very happy! -
Octavia Cabin/Road Noise
Warkman replied to bhoywonder's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I gave the SE-L 150 diesel. I can honestly say the noise level is fine for me. Quiet compared to other cars I have driven. Sure it's not Freelander quiet, but it's still good for an estate -

Warkman replied to Rodge's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
The top right hand button on the steering wheel on mine seems to be connected to the all round sensors, I'm not sure uf it turns in ir off the bleeping -
Low frequency 'boom' in cabin
Warkman replied to DaveBarr's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Two months in, no boom whatsoever. Is this then, not an issue on 16my cars perhaps?- 1,541 replies

It's an on going war, the manufacturers devise new security systems, then the scrotes devise a way round and so it goes on. It's interesting that car drive is nearly non existent in Singapore and also in Jaoan, where morals are still uppermost in society

Warkman replied to lpt100's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Not all fuel within the rank us useable. This can be a factor of reasons, including the positioning of the fuel pump, debris within the tank and the inaccuracy of the float chamber. Why on earth anyone would want to run a tank all the way down is beyond me -
Take the thermostat out and see if that cures it. Could be the stat has gone faulty

Dies the Octavia Columbus have the TV tuner? Or was it only the Superb with this function? -

Reliability/build quality issues?
Warkman replied to iDENTITi's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
I don't think they are in comparison with all manufacturers. The volume of complaints, even in forums such as these where people are more inclined to post problems, are very small in comparison of the volume of cars sold. This is the same with any forum for any manufacturer -
Now I have just come out of an S-Max after three years and say honestly say I never noticed the heating elements in the screen, I don't see them in the Freelander either.....

Are you sure? There is a difference between a floor pan and a platform. A platform can have different sizes of floor pans on it -

Only one close to that I am seeing is that when I go to input a post code sometimes it fails to show the final two letters in the screen to input. The way round is to search the list with the first part of the post code then search the second part from the list
