  1. Hi, has anyone got any tips got fitting the above Thule kit? I'm struggling to get the rubber feet in the roof grooves correctly? Thanks in advance
  2. I would have a look at some of the car buying sites and see what they would offer. Generally, they'll be at the bottom end of the valuation, but it's a guide. For reference, Evans Halshaw said just short of £11k for my 65 plate SE-L 2.0 Tdi Hatch with 45k. My estimates is that the Superb will maintain good residuals and remain solid VFM compared to its competitors. This should be reflected in the trade value.
  3. That was last year, but we're driving to the Dolomites in June, so I'm sure there will be plenty of photos.
  4. I'm getting a true 56mpg long term (manual), so I would say you'll be Ok!
  5. Mine ranges from between 4-5% (optimistic) when measured brim to brim. Can live with that
  6. That wouldn't be £100/month all in though. I'll have a look, but that would need a hefty deposit to start with. Anyway, buying outright works for us.
  7. Some good and sensible comments above. If the total lease price is less than the proposed depreciation, then it's certainly the right way to go when buying new. Doesn't really work for used cars as much as manufacturer incentives are generally behind new vehicles. We've thought about it for my wife's car, but given how relatively few miles per year she drives, it's not worth it. The used Focus she has now (61 plate) has cost us £105/month in depreciation so far, so way cheaper than leasing a new car.
  8. The 170 diesel across the VAG range is known for relatively poor MPG. The Golf GTD suffers the same issue. Fulio app is putting my long term MPG average at 56.
  9. I took my Trek Emonda 56cm from York to the Alps in the boot with the seats up. Just took the wheels off and padded out around the frame - no issues.
  10. Just checked the long term average for mine; That's the benefit of doing a 220 mile drive twice a week, every week.
  11. Agree, I think the market is unsure of where PHEVs' are heading so are being cautious, which is understandable.
  12. I have beige leather and it's grubby with Jean dye etc. Pretty sure it'll clean up ok when I get round to it
  13. Our company is still not keen on Hybrid company cars, I just don't think they can get them within the lease per month boundaries. Our fleet managers told me that the Audi A3 Hybrid was over £700/month for a 3 year 100k agreement...
  14. A Kodiak would be nice, but the c02 will be over our limit. I think I'd just get the same again, but with DSG.
  15. Great effort, I've just clicked onto 40k. Still really liking it and wouldn't have a clue what it's replacement would be..
  16. Tyres changed at 39,360 miles, replaced with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 (something like that!). £261 fitted by Kwik-Fit mobile. Will be interesting to compare noise and Wear rates.
  17. Kwik Fit are changing themy tonorrow, be interesting what they fit. I've had all sorts from them before, from budgets to top end all on the same car.
  18. I've worked mine out to be within 2% tolerance (OBC compared to actual). Regularly seeing over 65mpg on long trips and 60mpg average over a full tankfull. We get 11p/mile for business use, so currently making 1.5p/mile profit
  19. Hi, Yes original front tyres. Will need replacing in the next few weeks (fleet car so they have to be 2mm or less), so it'll have 40k on the clock by then.
  20. P7's on mine and still have usable life with 39,000 on the clock.
  21. Don't take your car to the dealer because the MPG drops in winter. As has been said above, different fuel, more use of heaters, lights, heated seats etc put a bigger strain on the car & subsequent fuel economy.
