  1. So you shouldn't add fuel additives to either petrol or diesel engines in modern cars?? I always put half a bottle of 'Diputane' in both our cars every 6 months. I thought they are good for the car..
  2. I can understand where you are coming from. Anyone who has a small bit of knowledge about cars know the Skoda would be ideal as a Limo/chauffeur car but others just see a badge & in your line of work it will be mainly the latter. Personally I think the gap between mainstream & executive is getting smaller due to BMW/Merc/Audi's obsession with sticking a car in every segment possible, & the mainstream brands pushing their flagship models more upmarket (Passat/Superb L&K) Filling every niche/Segment devalues the executive brand in my opinion but if it makes them money they'll say it works.
  3. I've no complaints with my one, has all the power & punch that I need & is excellent on fuel. I was the same when ordering my one. My old Superb 2 Combi felt under powered with the 1.6 engine so was gonna go for the 2.0 150bhp unit this time but after test driving a Superb 3 with a 1.6 unit, i felt it was perfect, with the extra grunt & lighter chasis. I didn't think the 2.0l was worth the extra €2,000 + so invested the money in adding extras instead. Unless you really love your 'grunt' the 1.6 engine is more than adequate IMO.
  4. I get an itemised bill/receipt after I service our cars at the dealers so there's your proof aswell as the digital one. I keep that in the manual holder then. They only stamp your book these days if you pacifically ask them to.
  5. It's backside looks very big to me, should it be called 'The Kardashian'??? ;-)
  6. Wrong on so many levels! https://skfb.ly/JWU7
  7. Apologies, i've drive mode select not DCC, I swear my brain is fried from all the terminology- DCC, ACC, SLA..........
  8. That colour is gorgeous, will be rare enough aswell...
  9. Had the same problem on my Superb II Combi, the Continental Sport Contact tyres were shocking for road noise, They've put Michelin on my Current Superb which are far quieter & they are on 18's!
  10. I was hoping it was something like that, thanks for putting my mind at ease Derv.
  11. I just did a 475km round trip to Galway & back yesterday in my Superb Combi 1.6 Diesel Style, so have broken the 1000km mark on can't Odometer on her. My feedback so far is +'s - Such a comfortable car, seats are brilliant & supportive (& heated!) Road noise minimal. -averaged 55mpg including motorway driving, a/c on & heated seats -Engine is surprisingly more powerful & nippier than I thought, car feels really light for a barge!! Gear ratio's are miles better than the Superb 2 & the 6th gear makes a big difference. Rev needle at 2000 when doing 120kph which is great for engine noise/vibrations & fuel efficiency, used to be at 3000 on my old Superb - Reverse camera is a dream especially the guides, I was reluctant to trust them at first but they won me over! Crystal clear at night aswell -The ability to acess an in coming text message via the radio is brilliant especially that the car can read it out to you if you cant take your eyes off the road. -18" Pegasus Alloys are so refined, hard to believe they are 18". My Mrs 17" on her Octavia are harsh, these are super smooth! -Bi-Zenons are great, love the LED DRLs & indicators on the headlights, really gives it road presence & turns head. -I LOVE the Panaramic Sunroof, really lights up the Cabin, kids love it too. -Boot is HUUUGE!!! -'s -Phone won't pair to the mirrorlink :-( -Front sensors randomly beep while stopped in traffic & nothing in front (& its not a rain drop causing it) - There's a weird burning /hot smell when I get out of the car, hard to explain it.... - draught comes in by the bottom of the front doors (which explains the amount of dirt on the sills) -Miss the running rails in the boot that my Superb 2 had. I thought they were very useful Overall im delighted with her & would highly recommend them.
  12. Maybe delete some old photos as your allowance might be full? This happened to me.
  13. Sorry it's REST not RES, typo error but here's a pic of it.....
  14. Yes that's correct, I got caught with that at the start aswell!. I discovered recently that the 'RES' button on the Climatic contols uses heat from the engine to heat the car if you park up for a while (max 30mins) Very handy on the school run on a cold morning!
  15. Is it L&K - Ivory & SEL/Style - Beige, or are they the both beige??
  16. I agree 100%. I removed the window stickers & took off the reg plate frames straight away off our cars, if they want them on, Pay me!
  17. Have a Panoramic Sunroof on my Superb Combi & no issues at all with noise, i love it!!
  18. Sweet Jesus, I couldn't drive a car in that condition, my OCD would take over!! (;-)
  19. I mentioned this previously but the guy who is putting the hitch on put my 'factory fitted' hitch on my last Superb - it was out sourced to them by my Skoda Dealer. So why pay out extra unnecessarily. I checked with my dealer about fitting one on my current car & he said he has no problem with it, just said make sure they wire it up to the existing pre-wired loon & not in to any other electrical source ie lights. If I were pulling caravans or other heavy loads then I would have gone with the Skoda one.
  20. Im getting a hitch fitted next week, €325 wired & fitted. The car is already pre wired for a towbar. I couldn't justify €700 for the factory hitch or €600 for the dealer hitch. I use my hitch for mainly carrying bicycles & towing the occasional garden trailer.
  21. I have to say it was one of the things that im most pleased with on my car, 4am starts this week & nothing worse than seeing a sheet of ice/frost on your windscreen but Press the Heated Window button & the ice has turned to water in about 60 seconds! Heaven!
  22. Yeah, that's the one. Think im gonna stick with it, better than a scuff I suppose!
