  1. Regarding the door light, first thing I would check is the door wiring, as it is quite common for wires to break in the loom at the door hinge. (In my case it was windows and mirrors) http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/380918-skoda-fabia-ii-broken-wires-in-hinge-loom-of-drivers-door/
  2. I don't think he means rust, it's alloy, they tend to get white powdery corrosion damage. I looked at a few, they all had it. Combination of salted roads and British weather, and prob not helped by garages steam cleaning them.
  3. Hortons Skoda do them for £133 http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Centre_Arm_Rest_%28Fabia_08%3E14%29_DAO700001
  4. Will they fit a Fabia? It's not mentioned, and the thread linked to is for an Octavia. Assuming this is the kit at Awesome GTI http://www.awesomegti.com/genuine-tt-jacking-points-golf-mk4-leon1-oct1
  5. Finally got around to buying a dongle, I bought the one recommended by jonro2009 in Post #14. Works great along with Carista app over WiFi on my iPhone. Haven't played too much, turned on gauge needle sweep and heated mirrors turn on with heated rear window now, which is handy as my mirror switch is broken and I haven't got round to replacing it yet.
  6. Thanks Phil, I never would have known to have the key in ignition.
  7. Haha, I shall wait for a dry, sunny day before I do mine. Try and lean seats back first, if I can't do it then I'll disconnect battery, airbags etc. Just worried about disconnect battery in case I lose setting etc
  8. So as I have airbags in the seats, I think I definitely need to disconnect battery before unbolting and leaning back to fit the storage boxes. Am I likely to come across any problems when I reconnect? Reading through the various posts, some say you can only disconnect for a maximum of 30 mins without it causing problems. Is this true? Don't want to end up with warning lights left on for airbags.
  9. Just bought a couple of these boxes. Regarding fitting, if I just unbolt seat and lean them back do I need to disconnect the battery? And underseat wiring?
  10. You can buy a genuine Skoda diffuser that fixes to the bumper that look more like the VRS, and an exhaust end piece to suit. But as your Monte already has a diffuser you'd probably be better cutting your existing one and just getting the exhaust end piece.
  11. That is the bulb holder for the DRL part of the Monte Carlo FOG/DRL light unit. I don't have the wiring on my SE, hence the need to wire it myself. The Fog light socket is an H8 but this one is different to that, the pins are the opposite way round.
  12. I've picked up a pair of Monte Carlo DRL's to fit to my SE, anyone know what type of socket this is? And where I might get the plug for it?
  13. Could it be this, loads of Fabia's seem to suffer with it http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/211144-just-where-does-the-rattling-come-from-in-12-tsi/
  14. Excellent, I look forward to seeing what I can break when my dongle arrives [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks, Yes that was my thinking, I'll order one. Definitely have the socket to plug in to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Be handy if it did, prob worth risking £7.99 for a dongle. I can always sell if not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. yes it's a 2010 1.2 TSI SE (86 Bhp)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Glad you posted that, was just about to buy a dongle for my 2010 Fabia !Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm still thinking of going the other way, I currently have the 15's, they do give a pretty comfy ride, but I'm going to try 16's or 17's. Most people seem to think the 16's are a good compromise between comfort and looks.
  20. I have a owners handbook, service book etc for a Felicia 96> it came out of a 99 registered car. If anyone in the UK wants them for price of postage (£2.80) only, drop me a DM.
