They actually came with big circlip like things to hold on the exhaust hangers. There may be some in the box of goodies when you get it...

Of course, I was forgetting about that aspect entirely.🤦🏻♂️

A set of brake pads are included in the stuff I have for you which will get to you eventually! Great work as always though. I'm sure that sill end won't be as much of a challenge as the windscreen aperture. Plus it doesn't have to be too neat! Keep it going, you're nearly there.😁

Skoda mk4 engine oil.
The "Genuine" brand sold by TPS is Quantum.

That'll be because it's a "commercial" probably. I had that problem when I had mine. Couldn't transfer any No Claims on to it either, had to start from scratch. Thankfully it wasn't too expensive then.

The controls are really very good to reach on the Felicias. You shouldn't have any trouble other than having to look at the screen.

That's a great lot of work you've gotten done there Cat! Looking great. Might not feel like it to you but it is. Keep it up! 😁

vRS Hatch Wheels.
That's no bother at all. Yeah mine are the same. I'm sending one to the wheel shop next week for straightening and refurbishment. The other three will be done sometime.

The Gemini rims do protrude quite a bit past the sidewalls of the tyres, even with tyres with supposed rim protection. Unfortunately you just have to live with it and drive very carefully or change your rims for ones that don't stick out so much.

2010 Skoda Fabia VRS 1.4 DSG
You could swap coil packs around to see if the fault moves. These cars do sometimes eat their packs and plugs I believe.

Are you able to get or have you had a fault code reading done again now that that's all been checked? The injectors might well not be running correctly but as @sepulchrave suggested, it will most likely be because of a fault elsewhere throwing them off. You could also get the values from them read while the diagnostic reader is plugged in. That might give more clues.

Wheel arch liners cost money don't you know! 😄 Skoda weren't allowed to play with them until the Octavia Mk 1 came along anyway.

Looks good.😁

Ah ok yeah. That would be a good idea too. As for the key, the less actual bending of it you have to do, the better as I sure you know. Just give it the blade a nip in the vice jaws along the length of the blade up to the plastic, not tight enough to mark the surface but enough to straighten and even if it's not 100% straight it should still work better.

I'd be soaking the originals in a tub of diesel or some kind of light oil for a while and see if they free up. When it comes to that side of things the original stuff seemed to be built to last. As such, so long as it's not powder and brown flakes, it should be rescueable.

Mk4 Fabia Owners Register
A bit late to the party here, we've had our black on black on black (so much black!!!) Fabia Monte Carlo 1.0 TSi 116 nearly a year now. It's my partner's car, we traded up from a Mk III 95PS and have been very impressed with the step up in quality feel of the new car. I would like to do some bits in either matt ally or Velvet Red on the outside to break up the black. Black Magic is my Skoda colour but I don't like everything to be that colour...

Fabia 4 mc Front wipers
Agreed with the fact the OE wiper blades are terrible. I thought initially that they had gotten covered in some kind of protection wax for transportation or during the PDI (I got LifeShine on ours). I tried cleaning them with neat screen wash a few times and it made no difference. Then we had a few frosty days and someone left the wipers switched on and the blades got ripped. I was (not) terribly upset about having to go and get a new set of blades and the local factors only stock Bosch blades so instant upgrade.

I never had to take one of those bits out but I take it you can't see in from the underneath/inside?

Original size would have been 165/70r13. The general rule of thumb, as you may or may not have learned already, for altering the size is that; so long as the overall circumference doesn't change by 5% each way, your speedo won't alter by too much. I think I have a strut brace you could have had too. It does make a very small difference.

They might be the same as rear ones fitted in the cars. Might be worth checking your stock to see if any of them are present.

I think you're right, it shouldn't be painted, just been kept well polished. You could wipe it with brake cleaner or something to take the shine off then re-apply silicone stuff to make it look nicer again if you wanted to. That's for future consideration I would say though.😁 I think there is meant to be speakers there, you can see the screw holes around the perimeter. There are possibly different versions of the cubby setup you can get, not 100% on that though.

That looks so much better than the red though.
